The cave to the land of monsters is located on a small island in the midst of magma, between the Sylph Cave and the town of Tomra. Like the Sylph Cave, the floor here will hurt you unless you have Float cast. There are three levels of caves that are easy to navigate, then you'll come to a teleporter that will take you to the actual Land of Monsters. Be sure to grab all of the treasure that's around, because there's some good stuff here. There's another teleporter on the first level of the monsters' town that will take you to the main part of town. There's a treasure chest on the other side of this teleporter that you should be sure to get, since it contains the Rat tail, which you'll need to get Excalibur later on. The main part of town contains some shops, and you should buy an Aegis Shield for Cecil and some Sorcerer robes for Rydia and Rosa. There's an Inn where you can rest, and a save point in a house that you should use before going to fight for a couple of new summons. In the library you'll find a teleporter that will take you to where the king and queen of the monsters, Asura and Leviathan, are. You should definitely fight Asura, since she's easy to beat (see bosses: Asura), then, if you feel up to it, you can try to tackle Leviathan (see bosses: Leviathan). You now have two new summons at your command. There's one other thing that I need to mention about this place. While walking around you may have noticed four treasure chests on a third level of the town, but no apparent way to get to them. On the first level of the town there's a secret teleporter that allows you to get to them. To find it, go to the teleporter that first took you into the town, then draw an imaginary line straight to the right. The hidden teleporter is directly on this line, in a small alcove; you should be able to see a faint outline of it. You really should make a point to get these four chests, as one of them contains the Samurai Bow, which is the second most powerful bow in the game.
