The Sealed Cave lies just north of Tomra; use the Luca key to gain
access to it. Most of the doors in this cave are protected by Trap
Doors. While they're pretty easy to defeat, they rate about a 9.2
on the annoy-o-meter, since they always manage to instantly kill at
least one of your characters at the start of the battle. What makes
this even more annoying is that many of these doors just lead to empty
rooms. Considering all this, I'll do my best to let you know which
door leads where.
After going through the first few rooms, you'll come to a long line
of doors. In the order you encounter them, they lead to: nothing,
Light (sword), treasure, nothing, save point, more treasure, and the
last one takes you onward through the cave. The next two doors you'll
see lead to nothing, and after continuing a little you'll come to
another save point. A little after the save point is the Dark Crystal
that you're after. When you leave the crystal room, though, you'll
be attacked by a rather nasty wall (see bosses: Evil Wall). After
defeating the wall just head out of the cave. Once you get to the
entrance, though, Kain will fall back under Golbez's control and leave,
taking the crystal with him. From here, return to the dwarf castle
and speak with King Giott; Cid will then come and install a drill
to the Falcon which lets you get back to the surface. Head to Mysidia,
and the Big Whale will appear which you can use to get to the moon.
Although you can now go to the moon and continue the plot, this is
a good time to do a couple of other things first. |
