While you could equip accessory-class items in other Final Fantasy games, Final Fantasy VI really broke this category out into a large contingent of mix-and-match units that could customize your character's attributes in dozens of different ways. Want a completely evil magic user? Try a Gem Box and an Economizer. For a vicious attacker, slap on a Genji Glove and an Offering. If you're looking to seriously level up, try an Exp. Egg with a Muscle Belt, and sent that poor fighter in alone. You can do whatever you like!
