Although no longer the oldest game we cover, Final Fantasy VI was the game in honor of which this site was founded, and with good reason. Many Final Fantasy gamers, young and old, look upon it fondly as one of their favorite games of the series. With its well-developed characters and familiar themes of magic, power, and the human dream of happiness and a peaceful life, it is clearly a must-play RPG.

Final Fantasy VI's dynamic story begins revolving around Terra Branford, a mysterious woman with the inhuman ability to cast magic. She becomes involved in a struggle between the Empire and those resisting it, the Returners. And in this war, magic will be the key...
