Subjective Analysis

Orators are an interesting class, choosing to fight the enemy with words. When words fail (as they often do) they have a fun backup: guns. They have decent HP but are not nearly as good with magic as their predecessor classes. They are fairly easy to unlock, though, and start using early on.

Entice is a key ability here, and is really cheap. It allows you to charm an enemy into your party, and is key in the poaching process or to get good equipment without relying on theft. Mimic Darlavon is also a great ability, putting a group of enemies to sleep. The rest of their action abilities are quite worthless in a basic playthrough, unless you want to raise permanent brave and faith levels with Praise and Preach. Equip Guns is expensive but unlocks some truly hilarious (and effective!) builds, especially if you can acquire the magic-based guns late in the game.
