Biography
Kefka is the court mage of the Gestahlian Empire who is obsessed with magic power. He was infused with Magitek as a child and eventually rose in the ranks to General. He is present for Imperial attacks on Figaro, Doma, and Narshe, but is eventually imprisoned in Vector. Kefka is an unhinged, dangerous magic user who delights in destruction and torture and is the primary antagonist of Final Fantasy VI. He also dresses in flamboyant garb and makeup resembling that of a clown - he's a fancy lad indeed.Towards the midpoint of the game, Kefka is imprisoned because of the extreme tactics he used in Doma, poisoning the castle's water supply and killing all its residents other than Cyan. Eventually, Gestahl frees Kefka from prison, after which he kills Leo and several Espers, claiming their Magicite. After Gestahl and Kefka summon the Floating Continent using the Warring Triad, Kefka betrays Gestahl after the party locates them, using the power of the Statues to kill Gestahl and scar the face of the planet with the Triad's power. In the World of Ruin, Kefka rules the world from atop Kefka's Tower like a god, destroying entire cities with the Light of Judgment as it suits him. Yeah... you're going to go looking for him.
