Biography

Gestahl is the cruel emperor of the Gestahlian Empire (really), which he rules from its capital, Vector. Gestahl's rule has been asserted by the Empire's mastery of magic-using technology, including the creation of Magitek Armor, the creation of magic-enhanced soldiers like Kefka and Celes, and the imprisonment and exploitation of Espers. Gestahl is first seen in one of Terra's flashbacks early in the game, and is one of the major antagonists of Final Fantasy VI.

Gestahl is seen in combat only briefly, but he can cast several powerful black magic spells.
