Biography

A knight of the church, who fought under the banner of Lionel in the Fifty Years' War, preceding the story of the game. He was once friends with Beowulf, a friendship that ended when Beowulf was banished from that army. Aliste assumed command in his place.

Aliste remained in the service of Lionel, though with no specific part to play in Ramza's story. However, once Reis has been rescued, Aliste is ordered to capture her yet again for the new leader of Lionel, Buremonda. Already terminally ill, Aliste accepts the order solely so that he can meet a warrior's end at the hands of his long-time friend.
