Biography

Cid is Baron's Chief Engineer, the mastermind behind airship technology. He lives in Baron with his daughter, building airships for the king, and is quite fond of Cecil.

Additional Information

When Cecil finally defeats Cagnazzo and retakes Baron, Cid appears and reveals that he's already begun resisting the king's demands. When he's told that Rosa is missing, he immediately offers them the use of an airship.

Though there's some initial friction between Cid and Tellah, Cid is genuinely upset when Tellah sacrifices himself in vain. He's pleased to see Rosa and Cecil back together, and stays with them as they travel underground.

Unfortunately, Baron's Red Wings also find their way underground and pursue Cecil on his way back to the overworld. To help Cecil make his escape, Cid jumps off the airship with a bomb, sealing the exit.

When Cecil returns to the dwarves' castle, he finds that Cid has been rescued and is being tended by the dwarves. He fixes up their airship for them, but is too exhausted by the effort to rejoin the party.

Cid accompanies the dwarves to fight the Giant of Babel. Soon thereafter, he'll be available to rejoin you!
