This battle will teach you just how deadly chocobos can be in large groups, because they have such high move and power, particularly Red Chocobos. You may want to reset this battle if you end up fighting many Red Chocobos, frankly, and re-roll the RNG for a better outcome next time.

Some luck helps in this battle. Your first targets should definitely be the Red Chocobos, followed by Black Chocobo, and finally any regular Chocobos. Focus on one enemy at a time with an aim for knocking one out every turn, as they can mass-heal all of the damage you cause if you don't take the target out. If there's a Uribo, you hopefully have a Mediator with you because they can invite them into the party, and when they breed, you can sometimes get a Porky or a Wildbow, which yield awesome items when poached.

This is another battle where the position you give Ramza is irrelevant, so keep him at the back of the pack on the formation screen.
