Biography

Prince (and Duke) Larg is the head of the White Lion, one of the two primary antagonists of the War of the Lions, so divided by disagreement over the rightful heir to the throne of Ivalice. While his distant cousin Goltanna backs Ovelia, Larg wishes to install baby Orinus for the same reason - to tighten his own grip on continental power.

Larg chooses to oversee his armies directly at the battle of Fort Besselat, where a sneak attack of poison incapacitates him, his tactician Dycedarg, and most of his army. The attack was from the Knights Templar at Dycedarg's request, as he had slowly worked to build up an immunity to said poison over time. Weakened just enough to avoid suspicion, Dycedarg murders Larg to further his own goals.

House Larg is a branch of the Atkascha royal family, and can trace its roots to King Denamda II—the monarch responsible for the Fifty Years' War. Duke Larg served as a general in that conflict, and today possesses command authority over the Order of the Northern Sky.
