Biography

Second-in-command to Wiegraf as part of the Dead Men, the group of revolutionaries looking to damage and create equality from Ivalice's feudal system. Having become disillusioned with his commander's goals, though, Gustav takes on a side job to kidnap Elmdore and both finance his further goals and ruin Wiegraf's reputation. However, he botches the kidnapping and in so doing forces a response in the form of Ramza's group tracking him and rescuing Elmdore.

The Corpse Brigade's lieutenant commander, and former lieutenant of the Dead Men. Gustav was a knight in the Order of the Northern Sky before joining the Dead Men. However, the atrocities committed by the Order, such as the mass killing of enemy soldiers and the sacking of villages, convinced him to leave it. Many see friction between Gustav and Wiegraf.
