And the forums sped up remarkably to reach 30,000 posts. The 30,000th post was made by i90east when he started the Mystery Treasure & Flying Star topic. Happy trails to all!

Pseudo bets were made on when the forums were reach 30,000 back when they reached 20,000 posts. Everyone was way off. February 21st was way earlier than anyone predicted — the earliest prediction made was March 12.

Anyway, congratulations, CoN. This will probably be the last news post made about post landmarks until 50,000 and/or 100,000, as they're not really news.

I had an old signature. Now I've changed it.

All posters in this topic have, in total so far, 4590 posts between them...
meaning thas us 6 contributed over 10%... 4500 is actually 15%
Rangers51 fittingly gives us 7-8%
Neal contributed 5% of the posts
Super Moogle, iJlombardi13, Elena, Dalr Paladin, and Sabin each gave about 4%

There's a statistic in your profile that says "Total Cumulative Posts", that shows how many posts total you've made, and the percentage of the whole that is right under it. For example: Neal: 1,529 Posts( 5.08% of total forum posts ).

Great, I get my 5 minutes of fame in the news section. Well that's terrific. So how busy are the forums compared to times in the past? Pretty good? I have no idea how long it takes for 10,000 posts to accumulate but I'm gonna be different and say early May. I'll probably be way off, but from what I've seen within the past few years spring is a hot time for web forums. Always remember that quality is better than quantity, so keep it real.

Here are the milestone posts we've had before:

28 Jul 2002: 0
18 Nov 2002: 5,000
25 Mar 2003: 10,000
31 Oct 2003: 20,000
22 Feb 2004: 30,000

So we've had twenty thousand posts in the last eleven months, with the first ten thousand taking about seven months and the second ten thousand taking about four. I'd say we're doing pretty well at the moment. Overall site statistics suggest we're busier overall than we ever have been, and I think a fair chunk of that translates into forum traffic.

(And note that the percentages in profiles are skewed, because user post counts count from 1 January 2001, whereas no posts from before 28 July 2002 exist any more for the board to count.)

Congratulations to everyone who posted on the way here.

i'd just like to say congrats to the CoN and heres to 30,00 more!

I also to congratulate CoN for reaching 30,000. And it is quite impressive that a site last 2-3 years. I must admit that people who have been running this thing have alot of dedication and although I may be eccentric sometimes it doesn't mean I dont think you guys are doing a good job. I just like to have a little bit of fun sometimes... maybe sometimes is a little to weak...

2-3 years? The site will be seven years old in July. It's just the currently available forum posts which start in 2002, and the member database has survived since 2001.

Well I think that 40,000 posts may happen by the end of April, if we are lucky, also as 4 50,000, maybe at some point in July. Who Knows.
