Ramza Beoulve
Biography
As the main character of Final Fantasy Tactics, Ramza finds himself at the center of the political and moral whirlwind that eventually absorbs all of his Ivalice. At the beginning of the story - though not the beginning of the game - Ramza is a mere knight in training in his home nation of Gallionne, learning the arts of war alongside his best friend Delita, and trying to find a way to make his way in his family's high house and father's esteem behind his half-brothers Zalbaag and Dycedarg. Ramza's retelling of his career as a soldier and transition to sellsword comprise the first chapter of the game. Ramza is told throughout the game how he is reminiscent of his father, Barbaneth, having inherited not only the family's martial prowess alongside his brothers, but also his quiet nobility and sense of equality despite the feudal system from which the house of Beoulve has benefited for many years. Ramza, befitting his status as the game begins, shares most of his skills with the Squire. However, the special skills that he can add to that basic list give him a leg up and mean that even as he trains into other jobs, his primary skills can easily be used to buff himself and his teammates well beyond the power of most enemies, given the time and space to do so.For more, ensure that your spoilers are turned on.

A knight apprentice of the Royal Military Akademy at Gariland. House Beoulve has long been a respected military family, and for generations has produced commanders of the Order of the Northern Sky. Though a member of House Beoulve, Ramza feels out of place among his brothers.
A member of a sellsword company led by Gaffgarion. Disillusioned by the tragedy at Ziekden, he left the Order of the Northern Sky to become a mercenary. He has severed ties with House Beoulve and taken his mother's family name. Now none but Gaffgarion know of his noble roots. He continues to fill his days with the clash of weapons in the hope of finding some direction.
The youngest son of House Beoulve, a family of prominent military ancestry. After witnessing the kidnapping of Princess Ovelia, he learned of his elder brother Dycedarg's plan to manipulate the events of the resulting war in a bid for power. Realizing he could not sit idly by, Ramza decided to attempt to stem the outbreak of war in opposition to his brothers.
The youngest son of House Beoulve, a family of prominent military ancestry. After witnessing the kidnapping of Princess Ovelia, he learned of his elder brother Dycedarg's plan to ignite a war. He rescued the princess in an attempt to prevent war, but was foiled by Cardinal Delacroix. He has now been branded a heretic and is wanted for the cardinal's murder.
The youngest son of House Beoulve, a family of prominent military ancestry. He stands in staunch opposition to his brother Dycedarg and others who brought about this war for personal gain. He also discovered that the Church of Glabados is moving in the shadows in a plot to regain its lost authority, and that the Lucavi are manipulating the Church in turn.
