my magic user has 2 slots left for spells and i don't know what's up. i did change ragnarok to a sword and i know that i can't get ultima, but what is the other slot for? wacko.gif plz tell me soon ppl!

Odin/Raiden, I think. If Odin was transformed into Raiden, then the other empty slot is where he was in the list. If he didn't, then the other spot would be for Raiden.

Unless you mean that there are two spots in your magic list that are empty, and not the esper list. Maybe telling us where they are listed would help us. I'm guessing it's Quick, though, assuming that you don't yet have Raiden.

And you CAN get Ultima still, you just need the Paladin Shield, which can be obtained by fighting 255 battles with the Cursed Shield equipped.

Hopefully that helps a little.

if u changed odin to raiden, u mighta missed meteor utill u get crusader... or maybe u missed metron or what ever spell crusader gives u

There's supposed to be a slot for each esper + one empty one for unequipping.
I believe Odin and Raiden occupy different slots on the esper list.
Based on what you said, you should have three empty slots.
Odin/Raiden + Ragnarok + Inherently empty slot.

Unless you were asking for what spell you were missing. Without more info, the logical guesses would be Ultima, Quick, Meteor, or Merton.

I knew it was one or the other. 255 is close enough to 256. happy.gif

And I forgot about the empty slot for deequipping, too. I guess I'm a bit rusty when it comes to FFVI.

Or you could level Terra up to 99 and get Ultima and Merton that way as well..sure she would be the only one, but hey, you only need a morphed Terra casting ultima with x-magic and a gold hairpin anyway....

These are the spells you should have (yes I'm going to list all of them): Recovery Magic: Cure, Cure2, Cure3, Antidote, Life, Life2, Life3, Remedy, Regen. Offensive magic: Fire, Fire2, Fire3, Bolt, Bolt2, Bolt3, Ice, Ice2, Ice3, Bio, Poison, Drain, Break, Pearl, Demi, X-Zone, Doom, Flare, Quarter, Meteor, Ultima, W.Wind, Quake, Merton. Effect magic: Scan, Slow, Slow2, Rasp, Safe, Sleep, Muddle, Reflect, Haste, Haste2, Float, Shell, Imp, Berserk, Vanish, Mute, Osmose, Quick, Dispel, Stop, Warp.

There, that should clear up any problems.

Or instead of trying to read that last post, you could check or databases for all of the spells in FFVI.
