After you defeat Ultros, Sabin tries to go after him, but he just suddenly goes flying in the air. Terra keeps yelling "SABIN!!!!!!!!!!" as if she's trying to get his attention. She does this more than once.
So, does this mean Terra might have a thing for Sabin (I can't think of any other proof to support this, sorry)? BTW, i'm new, nice to finally be here! ![]() -------------------- John: So you don't want your screen saver to come on for another four hours? Me: Where does it say that? Throughout the stroy Terra pays more attention to Leo, rather then Sabin. However she did pay him some mind when he joined the party, but not enough to consider a bold relationship.

She just barely meet him, (Mt.koltz to Returner's Hideout), so that could be hard to say, ...something between General Leo and Terra could be possible, though... Sabin is a simple guy who lives the present..and Terra is a complicated girl , who is worried about her past (which don't remember well) and struggling with herself to be a normal person ,to found a meaning for live, and love... opposites atracts ....but not this time.

At this point in the game? Probably not, especially considering how confused she is about the love issue. She probably did become friendly with him during the trip down the mountains to the Returner hideout however, which could account for her panic when he went overboard. Though it's likely she'd react the same way had Edgar gone instead.
Though really, I do like the possibility later on more than, say, Edgar/Terra. ![]() -------------------- Wilson: "That smugness of yours really is an attractive quality." House: "Thank you. It was either that or get my hair highlighted. Smugness is easier to maintain." |

Following Retribution's comment, and from what I know of the game, I'm 85% sure that Terra isn't interested in a romantic relationship anytime soon anyways.

What incredibly flimsy logic.

hey, welcome to CoN
![]() I'm sure there was no original intention for any Sabin x Terra, but I can actually really see them being together. I don't know, maybe it's because they both seem so pure and innocent. They both seem like they enjoy simple things in life, rather than fancy stuff (like Edgar and Setzer are more of a show-off in comparison to Sabin.. and Locke has Celes!) |

I'm afraid I see absolutely no evidence for Sabin x Terra. He'd be a better choice for her than others, probably, but... no. Nada.
Neonheart, as for Sabin and Gau, they've definitely got a cute relationship, even if it's more older brother-younger brother, IMO. The scene where Sabin decides to dress up Gau to Possible spoilers: highlight to view is one of the best in the game. And then, when meet his dad Possible spoilers: highlight to view ? It's very emotional.his dad rejects him As for anything romantic, Gau's only thirteen or fourteen, as I remember, so... ick. I think he probably idolizes Sabin to some extent, though, which is why he likes to bug him so much. ![]() Lots of Japanese fans have picked up on the Sabin x Gau, though. This here's an innocent and excellent fanart site about the bond, whatever it is, between the two. And here's a Sabin x Tina website for the topic. This post has been edited by L. Well there is allot of evidence pointing to a good relationship between terra and sabin. (BTW I'm New too) Like:
When terra said she thought sabin was a body builder who strayed from his gym And sabin took that As a complement Also when terra said "somethings got my leg" In the lete river sabin was the one to help her (it might have been Edgar if I'm mistaken) And she was the one who was worried when He got swept off by the river. And if you make sabin stay with her (in zozo) hes all worried and stuff. I think hes also worried allot when she flys off. |

When I first played through (age 15) I liked the idea of Terra and Sabin. I wrote fanfiction where they were together or married. I just liked it.
But I don't know if the raft scene is much proof. If you are in a group with someone - or friends with someone - you're going to get anxious if they do something like Sabin did. Terra has a big heart and worries about people. ETA: It's Edgar who tends to Terra's leg, not Sabin. Further ETA: Dark Paladin, it's one thing to disagree, but do you really have to be a jerk about it? I would definatley say Sabin is a better choice for Terra. Locke took Celes. Edgar is a wannabe womaniser. Setzer's lifestyle suggests that he may'be a womaniser but really Terra isn't any of these men's types and vice versa. Even when interacting with Leo I didn't get the hint of any romance. Where Final Fantasy's past and future make the matches all too obvious.

Real Life and You
Greetings everyone, and welcome to our show. In today's episode, we discuss the strange, terrifying world of attraction and relationships. We have a guest speaker with us today, Jim the Sock Puppet, who will give us a little speech on what constitutes a relationship and what doesn't. Jim is, of course, the old torn-up sock I found in my closet, so don't pay any attention to my lips during this segment of the show. "It is very easy to misunderstand relationships when still in one's teenage years. After all, very few teenagers have been in a true relationship, and either keep to themselves or confuse infatuation for full-blown love. Part of growing up emotionally involves learning that a relationship is not everyone's ultimate goal, and that displays of concern or friendliness from a member of the opposite sex does not constitute the grounds of a romantic encounter." So, Jim the Sock Puppet, would you say that commenting on a party member before they join your group or expressing concern when they are placed in a dangerous situation (such as leaping off a raft into a raging river to fight off a giant octopus) is indicative of romantic interest? "Good heavens no, Silverlance! This is the very reason why so many young boys and girls are mainly single throughout their teenage years! Nothing can alienate a person faster than assuming they have romantic interest in you solely based on the fact they are of the opposite sex and treat you like a normal human being. Romantic interest takes far longer to develop, and runs far deeper than something as basic as expressing worry when you forgot to unequip a party member who leaves the party by falling into a river." And what would it be, Jim the Sock Puppet? "Friendship. Two such people will never be romantically involved: the guy's already in the dreaded Friend Zone." And we all know what that means! "That's right Silverlance: no nookie." That's all the time we have for today, folks. Besides, I'm about to do the laundry, and there's some weird sticky cheese-like substance lodged along the inside of Jim the Sock Puppet. Until next time, this is Silverlance saying, "Goodnight!" -------------------- "Judge not a man by his thoughts and words, but by the quality and quantity of liquor in his possession and the likelyhood of him sharing." |

Y'know Silverlance, if Jim the Sock Puppet is that torn up it might just be a good idea to ditch him, or burn him, or poke him repeatedly with a needle and thread. Don't tell him I said that, though.
But that's dead-on. Yelling "SABIN!" does not translate into "I WANT IN YOUR PANTS!" and pulling a tentacle from someone's leg does not mean "Let's do it later at the inn!", unless you're using AltaVista's Bable Fish. -------------------- Words of Wisdom: If something can go wrong, it will. If anything simply cannot go wrong, it will anyway. If there is a possibility of several things going wrong, the one that will cause the most damage will be the one to go wrong. - Murphy’s Law Boing! Not every game has to pair up its characters. A thread which discusses Terra quite well would be the following... http://www.cavesofnarshe.com/forums/ipb/in...?showtopic=6374 -------------------- "Judge not a man by his thoughts and words, but by the quality and quantity of liquor in his possession and the likelyhood of him sharing." |
