Ooh, pretty nice. The characters' voices are almost exactly as I imagined them, complete with accents...I really dig this new voice acting. So yeah, share your thoughts on the trailer and voice acting here. If this should be merged with a pre-existing FFT PSP news thread, please do so. -------------------- |

I agree, Ramza sounds different than I had expected. He doesn't sound bad, just different.
My level of stoked-ness just rose massively. |

I thought Ramza would sound younger, personally.
The others sound great though. -------------------- FFIVDS looks awesome, right? Especially the character scans. I mean, look at that CGI scan of Yang. You see it and you just think...badass. And then you look at his polka-dot pants, likely stolen from a Dr. Seuss book. And then you just...shiver. |

Quote (BanjoTheClown @ 28th August 2007 22:12) Its coming out in September right? I believe so, but I think that might be the Japanese release date. I don't know though, has it come out in Japan yet? -------------------- FFIVDS looks awesome, right? Especially the character scans. I mean, look at that CGI scan of Yang. I remember seeing an October-something North America release date, but I'll be damned if I can remember when exactly or where I saw it. I'll see if I can find it again to verify my memory's accuracy.

Amazon says October 1 for the US, which would actually mean October 2. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

After doing some reading, I'm really interested in getting this right now. Onion Knight and Dark Knight jobs, along with Balthier and Luso being playable. Sweet.
Can AmaCoN ship to Canada? Cause I'm looking and it only mentions US. This post has been edited by Samurai Bob on 29th August 2007 22:05 -------------------- FFIVDS looks awesome, right? The newly remastered cutscenes are really making my anticipation for this game hit record-highs.
...I'm actually going to buy a PSP just for this game. (Well... a portable version, that is) -------------------- STC, Current Challenge: [Chrono Trigger] (Progress: Ch.2 Start) |

I bought my PSP for this game; while Disgaea and Jeanne DArc won't fade from
view completely, FFT is the masterpiece that will make the PSP worth owning. That cutscene is fantastic. It captures both excellent vocal inflection with respect to the personalities of the characters, while preserving a fluid fidelity to the original sprites. The Ivalice Alliance is the best thing to come out of Squeenix! -------------------- Putting the A's in W lm rt: A11smart, Jobclass: Retailer. |

Amen, A11. Disgaea is another one that I cannot wait to get my grubby mitts on a portable copy. The PSP is going to be worth it, finally! (for me, that is)

Indeed it is, Suunok, at the end of October! October 30 is the official date as of right now. One strange thing of note... the websites all say "Same name, new game," yet the name is actually different. The PSP game is called Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness, where as the PS2 game is Disgaea: HOUR of Darkness.
They're adding new things to it, and it's going to be AMAZING! Some of the new features: multiplayer mode (I believe it is just a versus battle system), and an alternate storyline where you play as Etna after you've beaten the game! Here is some linkage to get you drooling... Official Disgaea PSP Website Disgaea PSP on GameSpot! Well, if you had been around here a year or so ago, you would have already been aware of the PSP version some time ago. Not to mention that chances are good for a Disgaea game on the DS.
And what, only two reasons? What about Dracula X Chronicles?! For me, that game is a bigger incentive than Tactics itself. -------------------- |

To be honest, Castlevania never really appealed to me. So yes, only two (possibly three) reasons to get one right now.

That was pretty cool. I am SO relieved that the artwork/graphics (character art, background, etc.) on the PSP version hasn't changed drastically from the original version like I expected.
Ramza's voice isn't that different from what I had imagined, though Delita's is a little different from what I expected.
