I've heard that you can use Move/Find Item on certain maps to get those items. Not sure how reliable the source is, but it's worth a try.

Masamune is (only) abtainable by stealing Elmdor. As for the Chirijiraden, it is (only) found in the deepest level of the Deep Dungeon, End.

You'll notice I have used (only) and not only: that's because both sowrds can be obtain from high level Ninjas, who can throw them at you. If you have the Catch Reaction Ability equiped, you can take some. Two favored places are use for this purpose, due to their concentration of Ninjas: Araguay Wods and the Deep Dungeon level Horror.

As for the duplication trick itself, I suggest you look around older thread of the FFT forum: it was discussed at several occasions, including for the sole purpose of duplicating katanas.

Edit
I even did the job for you: here are links to previous threads about the subject. Hope you find them useful.

Chrijiraden can also be caught in the second last level of Deep Dungeon. Can't remember the name of it off the top of my head. Set Catch if you're going to fight there, some of the ninjas you can encounter like to throw Chaos Blades and Javelin IIs. THOSE can hurt.

HORROR usually has the highest encounter rate of ninja but TIGER will have a few on occassion as well. Try both and try to get a better selection.

They'll throw some powerful Katanas and Knight Swords depending on what the party's levels are when you challenge the ninjas. You can also get Defenders and I think Save the Queens, but I honestly don't remember what the catching levels are. You can probably find that information on Gamefaqs.

Ninjas can throw any weapon obtainable in the game, from what you can buy to what you can steal/find/poach. But it depends on different things (the level of your party being determining for one of these).

The weapons thrown at you depends on two things: the level of the Ninja (which depends on your highest level among your units) and the abilities he's inherited. Pending on these two factors, the ninja will throw the post powerful weapon he has access to.

This means that while you have a good chance of acquiring the most powerful weapons of the game in terms of PA (Chirijiraden, Chaos Blade, Javelin II, Scorpion Tail), you have very little chance of finding the second-to-best weapons, because to be thrown, they require the ninja to be at a very narrow range of levels, whereas for the ultimate weapons you simply need the ninja to be at lvl 99. Got it?

I not, I think you could do what Laszlow said: check the Gamefaqs guide or other sources. I have a list of what ninjas have thrown at me, but it's far from complete. I'm sure you can find a complete one here or there...

Here's what I've got from them:

Ragnaroks (multiple)
Save the Queens (multiple)
Excaliburs (multiple)
Defenders (multiple)
Madlemgens (multiple)
Scorpion Tails (multiple)
Whale Whiskers (multiple)
Javelin IIs (multiple)
Chaos Blades (multiple)
Yagyu Darknesses (multiple)(often)
Magic Shurikens (multiple)(often)
Fire Balls (multiple)(often)
Water Balls (multiple)(often)
Lightning Balls (multiple)(often)

Each ninja you find will have a set stock, I believe, so when you find one that throws Chaos Blades or Defenders, you only have to wait awhile until they "run out" (I'm guessing) and you get the balls-and-shurikens treatment. And a little aside to ninja habits: they seem to throw balls and shurikens rather than mediocre weapons (Diamond Swords, Partisans, etc.) I know I've never had one thrown at me.

Actually, that's not true. The weapon or shield you're trying to duplicate must be better than the one available in stores.

As an example, you can't duplicate a Mace of Zeus, since the Gold Staff has the same attack power (you can still technically get some from Ninjas, but they will never throw them because they always have something more powerful available to throw at you).

There are ways to circonvene that though: the shop in Gariland magic City is well known for allowing only the Broad Sword to be equiped, effectively giving you the option to duplicate any Sword, despite the fact that they are equal to the one available in shops (a little money saver, if you want).
