This topic covers all TV shows with drawn/modeled animation and not those with real people in real places. Cartoons and anime have this in common which is why I put them together. So, what is your favorite cartoon or anime? Why? Feel free to provide pictures to better represent your favorite show.
I've seen a lot of cartoons because my brother is 10 years younger than me and watches a lot of TV. We have Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. Out of the shows offered on those two channels my favorite by far is Teen Titans which came out a year ago, based on the long running comic series. The diverse set of characters prove to be very amusing when interacting with one another. There are a lot of humor scenes which spring up along this premise. Equally entertaining are the many fight scenes which are very well animated and executed. The intensity level goes sky high in many episodes, and even the accompanying music is good. Here's a few screenshots (some are panoramic): Screen 1 Screen 2 Screen 3 Screen 4 Screen 5 Screen 6 Screen 7 Screen 8 Screen 9 Screen 10 Screen 11 Screen 12 Screen 13 Screen 14 Screen 15 Screen 16 -------------------- FFXI (Siren server) Tauu the Windurstian Tarutaru! From Adult Swim, the only T.V. I watch on a regular basis besides the Daily Show:
Sealab 2021 Family Guy Aqua Teen Hunger Force Futurama Those are in order of personal preference, but the 1 and 2 spots may change because of a severe lack of Harry Goz (the voice of Captain Murphy - R.I.P.) and the fact that Family Guy is considering making new episodes. Rock! |

My two all-time favorite are probably Robotech and Voltron. One of the funnier shows I've been watching lately is MegasXLR, it's funny and pretty original. The episode where they made fun of Voltron had me rolling. I could post the generic stuff (FG/Simpsons/ATHF.....) but that goes without saying. Megas has really surprised me.

Currently, my favourites (which I'm downloading, not watching on TV. We don't get any decent channels, and certainly not CN) are:
Inuyasha Urusei Yatsura (Those Obnoxious Aliens) Naruto Full Metal Alchemist Princess Tutu Shotgunnova: I'm quite certain that I have seen some of Pirates of Darkwater, but I can't remember a thing about it. Well, since the Simpsons is a cartoon, that's my favorite. But, other than that, it'd have to be Invader Zim.

Ooooohh.. My list could be huge.. HUGE... There are alot, and even more that other people mentioned that I forgot about.
Pirates of Dark Water was great. I haven't seen that for ages though. Family Guy/Simpsons/Futurama are always classics. Most anime I've ever seen could go on the list. I loved the X-men, Spider Man, Gargoyles, Superman, Batman, Justice League, Teen Titans, and any other superhero shows I may have failed to mention. -------------------- "And that, my liege, is how we know the Earth to be banana-shaped” -Sir Bedevere the Wise |

Batman: The Animated Series owns your soul. It was brilliant, it set a new bar for American cartoons that even now most struggle to reach.

Of the western cartoons, the old X-men and spider-man cartoons were awesome
In the realm of anime, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Rurouni Kenshin, and Inuyasha are all good |

Anime:
Full Metal Alchemist Inuyasha Everything Else (no particular order): Family Guy Simpsons Futurama Brak Show Ren and Stimpy Rocko's Modern Life Batman: The Animated Series (that and the 60's live-action Batman series were the Caped Crusader's best TV moments) Space Ghost Coast to Coast Tom and Jerry Most of the older Daffy Duck 'toons Rocky and Bullwinkle (haven't seen it in years, so I don't know if that'd still be a favorite) Jetsons Darkwing Duck The list could go on and on... Also, a bit off topic since it isn't technically a cartoon, but I just have to mention Fraggle Rock. Man, I miss that show. -------------------- Words of Wisdom: If something can go wrong, it will. Hmmm, In a top three I'd say
Escaflowne (Loved it to bits. Missed alot when Y-TV screwed with their shedules) Inu-Yasha (Oh Miroku, You're so crazy) Cardcaptors (Cool Costumes, Cooler Cards) Honorable Mentions go to Futurama and Daria, both hillarious. Unfortunatly Dad stopped buying Satilite, so I can't watch any of these shows anymore. ![]() -------------------- TURKEY! - (The only way not to get blocked for using Fowl Language) |

Well I think that about covers all the cartoons out there (or at least the good ones right?). MegasXLR is a neat show. It's unusual to have a fat guy for a hero and it's cool to see that for a change.

My list of favorite anime includes Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, Jubei-chan the Ninja Girl, and Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, more or less in that order.
It's hard to come up with a decent listing of my favorite American cartoons, so for the moment I'll just say anything done by Bruce Timm, Glen Murakami, and their team. (Except Batman Beyond, of course. Ugh.) While it's on my mind, I'll throw Samurai Jack into the mix too. Quote (Shotgunnova @ 14th August 2004 15:11) I'm not the only one who likes Pirates of Darkwater, am I? ![]() The funny thing is that I thought Pirates of Dark Water was okay when it was new, then I caught it on TV with one of my friends recently and we were surprised how terrible we found the animation and how moronic the plot, since we both used to like it. ... hindsight 20/20 and all that jazz... anyway: Anime (in no order) Kenshin Bebop Eva FLCL Spirited Away Abenobashi Mononoke Tylor Cartoons (in order of preference) Ren & Stimpy Simpsons Space Ghost Coast to Coast South Park I like Futurama and Family Guy though I've not seen much of them. I used to love Duck Tales when I was a kid (was bored with all other Disney afternoon shows) but I haven't seen it in so long that I wasn't sure if I should list it.
