SNES version question!

Hey, I have a question about the Super Nintendo version of FF6! There's actually no way of getting the bestiary on it, so I was wondering if I can find all the monsters in places like the Veldt, without actually having to meet them? Or vice versa?

Thanks for your time in advance!

The Veldt will only include monsters that you have encountered in battle elsewhere. If you follow our walkthrough, though, you'll have a good idea of when you can find the monsters and how rarely they appear.

I hope that answers your question, definitely post again if not. Or, well, post again anyway! smile.gif

Alright! Thank you! I was only confused because without the bestiary, there's really no way of actually telling which monsters you have or have not seen, so I wasn't sure if the Veldt would also keep track of that or not.

HEY GUYS! I'm back with yet ANOTHER annoying question. I hope I'm not getting too annoying. I decided to post it on this thread, instead of making a new one and getting one step closer to spamming you guys. Ok, so my question is: I kinda came across another problem with my Snes9x, because all my sprites are COMPLETELY ignoring BG #1. For example, I had Edgar walking around in Mobliz, and instead of having his sprite look like he was walking behind one of the houses, he actually looked like he was walking on top! It was like that for the WHOLE BG #1 layer there and in all other places in the game. How can I fix this? I appreciate your time in advance.

-Also, I looked on the web for at least an hour, and found nothing on this subject. Hopefully you guys can help me biggrin.gif

I think the 1-5 keys on your keyboard control the BG layers. Try each of them until it sorts the BG out.

I've tried that before, and I've done it again right now. The 1-5 buttons only turn layers on or off, but in my case all the layers are on, but just the sprite layer and BG #1 are mixed up.

I don't know how I can help, other than by noting that I've seen Final Fantasy III (US) run fine on SNES9x from years back. Perhaps you should check your graphics settings and maybe plugins if any?

I recommend the ZSNES. I use my 360 controller with it.

In general, I found that ZNES has more BG layer problems than 9x, but I did not use 9x very much for FF6. ZNES tends to get confused whenever a sprite is behind the text box, and it looks super weird.
