We've Dropped the Ball

Some of you will note that it is April Fools' Day. Some of you may also note that we have dropped the ball, as usual. We throw our hands up: we simply didn't have any good ideas for this April 1st. But, we figure, our members are an imaginative bunch. And so, we have decided to hold a quick CoNtest to find next year's gag and spare us the embarrassment 365 days hence.
The rules are simple: Suggest a joke in 3000 words or less by midnight tonight. The entries will be read by CoN staff and we'll pick out the best one for use next year. The lucky winner shall receive a small prize as well as the knowledge that they will be in on the joke next year! Entering is also simple: Just fire off your idea to [email protected], before midnight Eastern time. Note that we won't accept any jokes that might be offensive or illegal, as even a joke must have limits. But other than that, anything goes, so get the ideas coming fast! Good luck, and hope we get some good suggestions! The worst joke I've heard/seen today is Virgle. Next Mugabe will appear on international television and say "Hey, we didn't actually have elections! And we would've won them anyway! Stupid British."

If I think of a good one, I'll definetly email it. But all I've down today was tell people my dog died and i got like 5 or 6 people, and two of them almost hugged me.
I wouldn't be surprised if this was, in fact, the April fools day joke. P.s. Price tax did not go up. |

Are multiple suggestions allowed, as long as the total word count is less than 3000? Its difficult to come up with something fitting when we don't how big a scale you want the 'joke' to be. Just a simple bit of fake news, or a total site overhaul, or what?

I remember the Final Fantasy Forever gag...
Priceless. Also, I submitted my idea, but the whole time, I was scared as to where it's really going to go...  Moreover, I was surprised that it was a real email, as with a name like connedtest I figured it was the joke... But how is it a clever prank if you have to go that far out of your way? make these emailed ideas auto-post into a thread just to out people on what they would do to their fellow CoN-mates, and that might be humorous. Edit Oooooh Snap! Especially with the delayed reactions! But I, in fact, called it! I copy-pasted the address just in case this sort of thing happened Well done. Ah, damnit. I must admit, you got me. Ah well, at least I don't have to struggle to think up a good joke now.
