Eden from FF8 gets a vote from me, jeez what other summon can turn the Earth into a super cannon and send the enemy into a supernova. I don't know of any others that can do that. But as well as Eden I must throw in a shout for Bahamut from FFIV. I mean, c'mon it's the friggin God of all the summoned monsters. All other summons worship Bahamut, what beats that, honestly?

Anime from FFX was incredibly useful, and so were the Magus Sisters. So I guess I'll say that those two are tied if by 'favorite' you mean 'most useful.'
In terms of sheer awesomeness, though, Shiva (in all of her many incarnations) is my favorite. She's just...cool. (Ha, pun intended.) ![]() -------------------- Veni, vidi, dormivi. |

I do! I love Shiva. She has undergone the most changes in appearence and has always been super groove-adelic (Especially in FFX). Other than her yes I like Bahamut, and Anima was a cool newby (I named her Aenima after one of my favorite albums), Odin too, but even more than them I like Typoon from FF7, and Palidor from FF6 (I renamed FFX's Valefor as Palidor.) ![]() -------------------- Get me off this Disciplinary Committee so I can play any FF except for FF8!!! |

I think that the new ANIMA summon and the bahamut summon from ffX are the best, because they are giving us new summons and have given the classics a whole total makeover.

Phoenix from FFIX. What other summon can you summon once you're dead that, as well as attacking the enemy, will bring you back to life?
I really liked the eidolons in FF9 that you could adapt depending on what you had equipped. |

Anima from FFX was painfully cool, as was Hades from FFVII, but my vote goes for Alexander. I really like the name of it's attack in FFVI ( I think it's called "Justice"?)

Most powerful--any Bahamut. By the way, Bahamut isn't actually king of the dragons/summoned monsters, he's the GOD.
Coolest looking--Tritoch and Alexander (FF6). -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. You can find me on the Fediverse! I use Mastodon, where I am @[email protected] ( https://sakurajima.moe/@glennmagusharvey ) |

I'll be original too and go with Golem. In every game he's in I summoned him right at the beginning of any boss fight or difficult enemy. If you don't count 8 and 10, the one's where summons are essential, I've probably summoned Golem more than all the others put together (because I never summon in 6(besides Golem), 7, 9, or Tactics)

Quote (Guy @ 11th November 2003 22:50) I'll just have to be original and vote for Terratota. Or whatever his name is, from FF6. He wasn't very strong, only gave you Quake and W.Wind or some other useless spells...but I still liked him. Giant hole opens up, ROAR GIANT SNAKEMONSTERTHINGYOMG and then your enemies get 5 earth damage. Because he was not very strong. Terrato...Woolsey should be kicked in the nads for giving it that name. Terrato is actually the Midgarsorm (or Midgar Zolom), the mythical creature that encircled Midgar (Earth). Ah well... My favorite is Bahamut, FF7. I liked how he rocketed overhead at first, arced up, then fried the enemy. Not only does he go and kick their ass, but he does it in style. |

Odin all the way, norse mythology > all! 2nd HAS to be bahamut from any FF, especially since he is the King of Dragons and dragons are the coolest mythological beasts there are.

I obviously couldn't list them all, but I listed the main ones.
My favourite is Shiva. She's always been quite useful since FF4, and in FF10 you can control her and she's so fast! She also does decent damage. ![]() Anyways, what other favourites are out there? -------------------- --sbq92 <>< |
