hey guys i'm new here....the problem i had here is i couldnt escape the northern cave!!!!! tat is because i went down to the northern cave to hunt MAGIC POTS AND MOVERS..........i used my save crystal at the place where the party 1st gather.........which u need to tell them to go right,left,top,or btm............i reach there and i wanted to go up and escape to the highwind......when u 1st enter the place wer the party gathers.....theres 2 stone-stick which u need to climb down........the 1st stick after u climb down u can climb up, but the 2nd stick after u climb down u cant climb back up!!!

the 1st time i hunt magic pots i can escape......but now the 2nd time..i cant!!! i keep on walk around the 2nd stick and keep on pressing ENTER i just couldnt climb!! can someone teach me how to escape !?!/

There's been lots of posts similar to this. Have a look at some other Posts to try and answer your question.

Apparently it's a known glitch, unfortunately.

I'm guessing this thread will have sufficient information regarding that.

*sobs* Yes, my unfortunate experience. I guess it's not just my game then, it is an actual glitch for perhaps everyone. Thus, everyone beware when training in the Northern Crater! Sorry dude, there is no remedy for this except scream, curse everything, and start another game.

Yeah make sure you have a spare save game just before you go in there before venturing down there. I always have two blocks just in case. I guess it just makes sense.

I always put my save crystal in the area to the left were the 2 cave entrances are and I havent had any problems. Maybe thats the best spot to put it and not have that blood boiling glitch happen.

The same thing happened on my friend's file. If you put the crystal in that room, you cannot escape. You kinda got pwnd...

Do you know if he had the Greatest Hits version? What about you snake, do you have the GH version? I do, so maybe that's why? Unless you guys don't.

I got the GH version as well. That could be a factor.

i have the greatest hits version and i put the crystal at the bottom right at tghe fork and nothing wrong happend with my game...

Aujourdhui a commence avec toi.

argggghhh!!! i just mastered 2 mime materials.......3 hp up and alot of materials....and a lvl 4 knights of the round.........can anyone tell me is there any place to lvl up my materials and exp other than the northern cave? *magic pots and movers*

You could just go anywhere and kick the hell out of evrything.
Magic pots and movers are however known for it to give the most xp and ap (except bosses)

Seriously, though...which versions does this happen on? So far we've established that it may happen on the Greatest Hits version.

1. Does anyone here have the PC version, and have gotten it this far? If you have, does it glitch?

2. Has anyone had this glitch on the original-release version?

3. What's the difference between the original-release and greatest-hits versions?

I currently have the PC version (which itself has some other bugs, such as the chocobo race bug and the piano playing bug, the latter of which I'll probably post about later), but I'm wondering which PS version to get as I might soon get myself a Playstation.

(Unfortunately, I've never gotten this far, so I really don't know what it's like.)

Even if i already explained the deal on the other thread, i am pretty sure this is what happens :

If you put your save crystal in that room you will get the glitch, except if :

You go to the second gathering point before coming back to the first one, that happened to me too, when you came back to get out of the crater, your party members were still at the first gathering point am i wrong ? So you have to get to the second point before going back to the first one to not get the glitch.

P.S : I you put your crystal on the "platform" ( top of stalagmite ) you SHOULD have no problems.
