Delita shows up at the docks of Warjilis to again try to convince Ramza not to get caught up in the flow, and that he will handle it all. Delita cryptically claims that all of these plots are part of the same grand scheme, but that he has it under control himself. With Delita's message in mind, Ramza moves back towards Lionel to ensure Agrias' and Ovelia's safety.

Meanwhile, at Delacroix's quarters, Gaffgarion and Ludovich have gathered, and Delacroix is admonishing them for failing in their respective missions. Gaffgarion is given another chance, but Ludovich's failure was much greater, and thus, the Cardinal has him killed.

Warjilis is a good time to resupply and look through the shops to see if there is any new equipment that would suit any current or new jobs you'd like to use. It's the last chance to shop for a bit, so make sure you have all the things you need, especially healing, as you're going to need it in the next run of battles.

When you enter this battle, troops from Lionel Castle will be pursuing Agrias, who seems to have escaped. They're about to capture her, but Ramza and the crew rushes in for her defense. As usual, the Black Mages are the ones to take out first - it helps a lot if Mustadio can disable them with Arm Shot, but it's not necessary. The range of his gun makes him valuable in this terrain, and if you can take out the Black Mages with other gun-wielding characters before they can get close, the battle will end shortly after. Agrias will take a beating but will do a ton of damage at the same time. Just make sure you can heal her when necessary and the battle shouldn't be much of a challenge.

The split battle party in this case can cause some problems, as moving across the river can only take place at a couple places unless you're willing to have characters lose turns in depth-2 tiles of water. Therefore, make sure that a healer is in the first party or else you might find Agrias in danger of being KO'd before you can get in range. Rushing the second party towards the enemy and taking out the two enemies on that bank of the river quickly will allow you to have them ford the river at that point and possibly flank the remaining enemies as they close on Agrias and the first party. If you start by stacking both parties stage left on the formation screen, they'll be a little closer to where they can be immediately useful.

Stringing out this battle - within reason - can help grind up JP for the next few battles, which can be useful as there are some complex fights coming up without any further chances to grind. If you find yourself unprepared, this is likely the last good shot to grind EXP and JP for a bit, as well as the easiest remaining battle for farming treasure and crystals. If you need to, you can use Mustadio to disable Agrias temporarily and stretch out the battle, but don't do it at the cost of draining your healing items.

After victory, Agrias describes to the party what happened at Lionel and says that they've taken Princess Ovelia to Golgollada Gallows to be executed, and the party needs to hurry there to save her. She'll join you as a regular character at this time.
