Rapha Galthena
Biography
A young teenager, and a child soldier, under the control of Barrington. Orphaned with her older brother Marach, the two were given a home in exchange for their powers, magic unique to their birth clan.Rapha does not share her brother's loyalty to the duke, as he has secretly sexually abused her for untold time after taking in the siblings. She defects from their army and is pursued by her brother until she finds safety with Ramza. She continues to try to convince Marach of the truth, with it falling on deaf ears until he inadvertently hears Barrington boast of his assaults, at which point he tries to protect his sister and is killed. Rapha's tears for her slain brother show the potential for positive power of the Zodiac Stones, though, as they bring him back to life, giving her a spark of joy at the end of her trials.
Personae Entries
A member of Grand Duke Barrington's secret band of assassins known as the Khamja, and Marach's younger sister. Rapha lost her parents in the Fifty Years' War, and wandered the streets as an orphan until Grand Duke Barrington took her in and trained her as a mage.
