Okay There, I was wondering : Wouldn't it be great to have a topic where you can post your own strategies or try others? So this is how it all started...
Here is mine (a 4 generics team [Five is pointless because of some battles in the game]): 1- Magical Defense Unit Geomancer Rune Blade Escutcheon II Flash Helmet Black Robe Feather Mantle Elemental Item Counter Flood Magic Attack UP Teleport (Block/Evade & Counter For Huge Damage, even increases more for Fire/Lightning/Ice elementals) 2- Physical Defense Unit Javelin II Escutcheon II Grand Helm Maximillian Feather Mantle Jump Item Counter Concentrate Move HP UP (Block/Evade & Counter for a guaranteed hit, can even counter other Dragoons!) 3- Magical Attack Unit Summoner Faith Rod - - - - - - - - Flash hat Wizard Robe Genji Gauntlet Summon Math Skill MP Switch Short Charge Move MP UP (High magical strenght with short casting, along with most spells available in the game) 4- Physical Attack Unit Ninja Iga Knife Iga Knife Thief Hat Secret Clothes Germinas Boots Throw Draw Out (Masamune) Sunken State Attack UP Move +3 (Increadible speed, Powerful attacks that never misses, along with the best movement range possible) Extremely deadly Team, Just put your two defenders in front to get attacked and finish off any enemies. Attackers are only supportive, because enemies will mostly try to hit the defenders, fail, and instantly get killed. Adjust as you want to make it fit with your team. Item is very useful for instant healing, Shield and mantles to evade most attacks, bring Brave up to 97 to all your characters of course. A fifth unit is not needed here. Always have your attacking units far in bacmk row to avoid any damage. Low Faith is recommended, except for the summoner because of the Faith Rod. In the worst cases, you will have to math skill Esuna on your Defenders. Note that your defenders should always remain next to each other or a "Counter Flood" could be very harmful for the physical one. -------------------- Sayonara |

Wow!..., I was thinking on creating the Ultimate Knight, which is a Knight with Brave 97 Faith 03, Hamedo, and Attack Up...and Move Hp-Up. If the Knight is female, she could equip Chantage. Real invincible, don't you think? ñ_ñ

Switch out Move HP-Up for Ignore Height or Move +3, though; Regen's much more efficient and you get that without moving. -------------------- It's gonna be a glorious day I feel my luck can change |

Oh well... This is just a suggestions topic, btw there isn't any way to make a character undefeatable. Except if you second character is a female wearing a Ribbon/Chantage along with Maintenance while never staying close to your first character that has a Vanish mantle equipped (Secret clothes boosts Speed, getting annoying if you want to remain hidden).
Icewolf Bite or Steal accessory and buh bye Ultimate Knight ![]() Btw, my Blood Knight setup is much better... Hamedo isn't really worth it, it won't protect you from monsters or magic. (Sucessfully vanquished 3 Hydras, 1 Oracle, 1 Summoner, 1 Time Mage, hehehe) Damn and I tought this topic was dead almost from the moment I created it... Unless I've overlooked something you can only get 1 of them. Other than that though, nice setups. I still prefer the monks equipped with armor and for the mathmetician I use a wizard with 2 wiz rods and math as secondary. For some reason it seems to do more damage than having a faith rod, at least in my expierence. -------------------- To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research. - Steven Wright It doesn't matter what temperature the room is, it's always room temperature http://ogame.org cool online galactic empire game |

I knew my Ulty Knight wasn't undeafeatable, (though Hamedo works well if you go straight the storyline, where there are mainly humans... even an archer could damage my ulty knight, but it has attack up, and lv99 so one hit and anything that move is dead, he has many weaks points, like a Crush punch, Doom Fist, a Death sentence trap...etc.)

i rather have a female priest with 80+ faith and all the skills of a samurai.
Joanna Brave: 45 Faith: 85 Primary: White Magic Secondary: Draw Out Reaction: Blade Grasp Support: MagicAtk UP Movement: Move+2 Since the samurai's draw outs depend on faith and MA, she can be even a greater factor in battle than Agrias. Plus, she can heal too! Both with the draw out skill, and white magic. With red shoes and magic gauntlets, she'll really do some damage. But I wonder, has anyone ever made a generic stronger than the god himself? aka T.G. Cid -------------------- "You say life is sacred, makes you feel noble. Well, then let me ask you this. And, with the Ribbon you can't go wrong! I have a pretty strong generic...
Fordham Wizard Brave 56 Faith 68 Wizard Rod Theif Hat Robe of Lords (if I can find it...) Magic Gauntlet Black Magic White Magic Counter Magic Magic Attack Up Move MP-Up Not the strongest, no, but a powerhouse on the feild! I just prefer not to leave him alone. -------------------- "Thought I was dead, eh? Not until I fulfill my dream!" Seifer Almasy "The most important part of the story is the ending." I'm a guy who will always go for status protection and damage guarding over stat boosting all the time. It's in my nature. So, I use a character like this often enough:
May Knight Battle Skill Guts/Yin-Yang Magic Sunken State/Abandon Weapon Guard/Maintenance Move +3/Ignore Height Save the Queen Escutcheon II Grand Helmet Reflect Mail Chantage Coupling Sunken State with auto-Regen and auto-Reflect is always a good way to barricade yourself inside of a non-damage shell. You get hit by a physical attack and survive, you're going to be fully healed. 90% of magic attacks are diverted, the shield's high evasion protects against damage often enough, the Save the Queen has auto-Protect, and Weapon Guard can factor in the weapon's evade (switch StQ for Defender, probably.) -------------------- It's gonna be a glorious day I feel my luck can change |

Umm sorry you put Weapon guard as a support ability
![]() Defender wouldn't do any good because StQ's evade rate is 30% so for both front and sides your block rate is of 100% (does it stack?). If you weren't using the chantage, I would have proposed you Jump +3 instead of Ignore Height. Because Ignore heigh doesn't prevent damage from falling as it doesn't increase jump's variable. Um I never cheated to gain two escutcheon II... I only exploited data that wasn't "supposed" to be corrupted. ![]() A choice that some of you should reconsider... Two Swords for 2 Wizard rods: This is probably the worse choice for a magic caster because you can deal double damage physically (or maybe you build you mages physically? ![]() Wizard Rod + Magic Attack UP: Good choice as it increase Magic attack a lot, good to pair with a black robe or 108 gems for an elemental damage boost. Faith Rod + Magic Attack UP: Normally, magic shouldn't harm you much because a mage is supposed to stay in back row. So I personnaly think that the faith rod is the best choice out there as it boost magical power to it's maximum (excluding MA). Antoehr idea would be to use the previous combo and cast faith in-battle. But it would waste many turns... If you are going for a Draw out/elemental wizard of course pick up the wizard rod + magic attack UP. Avi_Beoulve I think you are wrong there... as far as I know, Draw out isn't affected by faith, only MA. Obviously, it can become extremely deadly with our friend called chirijiraden. -------------------- Sayonara |

Hm, I'm a bigger fan of stat-ups as opposed to status-protection. I posted most of my favorite setups in this thread and this other thread. I'll post another for kicks.
Gun Armor Female Knight Stone Gun/Blast Gun Gold Escutcheon Ribbon Robe of Lords Setiemson/Bracer Battle Skill Item Abandon/Dragon Spirit/Speed Save Equip Gun Move+2/Teleport If you couldn't already tell, this setup concentrates on Battle Skill. You can add the Bracer for more punch towards Breaking, or the Setiemson for Haste. The Blast gun is the more effective Breaking weapon, but it requires to have a high faith (~85 is usually good) if you want to do good damage. The secondary, reaction, and movement abilities are really all about preferences. I just listed my favorites for females. The point is, a powerful Knight with a gun rules. Oh, Zodiac, I tried out your Blood Knight setup awhile ago, and I found that it's quite entertaining. I still maintain that Mighty Sword, Holy Sword, and Punch Art make better secondaries than Elemental for that class, though. Raw power >> one or two squares of extended range. -------------------- |

Well, the sword is called Chirijiraden, and it's friggin' awesome. You find it on the ground in the lowest floor of the Deep Dungeon, unlocked at the very end of Chapter Four by visiting the Bar at Warjilis Trade City. Check the walkthrough on this site for more details. Oh, and don't double post; the boss mod frowns upon it here.
Edit Oh, and Zodiac's right: Draw Out is not based on faith at all, it's just MA*(spell modifier) before taking zodiac and gender affinities into account. It's one of my favorite abilities for that reason. This post has been edited by laszlow on 28th July 2005 02:48 -------------------- |

This character isn't insanely powerful but, simply a fun combination...
Rad, The Singing Samurai- Samurai Brave 82, Faith 70 Masamune Full Genji equipment Draw Out Sing Blade Grasp Two Hands Fly and another... Yumiko, The Ninja Chanteuse... (She is from my most recent playthrough which I have about 55% completed and I like her, she is tres milk!) Ninja Brave 77, Faith 64 Short Edge Short Edge (Iga will be used once found) Black Hood Powersleeve Germinas Boots (Setiemson, when I get around to poaching stuff...) Throw Dance Sunken State Eq. Armor Ignore Height The dance skill makes her a JP goddess and actually Nameless Dance has turned the tide for me in a few tough battles...(i.e. any at Riovanes Castle). ![]() -------------------- "You broke my f***ing sitar, mother f***er." -Anton A. Hey do any of you have any cool character Setups? I would like to know what they are and how they worked out for you in the end.
Like I have this character name "Hermione" -Harry Potter I know- I have alot more too. Hermione Job Monk (Master) Secondary Skill Geomancer (Master) Support Abbility Wear Armor Counter CounterFlood ( because Hamedo hardly ever works!) Move Move get Hp She seems to be an average set-up however but I'm fairly Happy with it. She hardly ever dies because of her move support ability and she has high hp becasue of her armor, she can't get weapon break, she can also attack from afar no matte what. So basically she's an even Monk/Geomancer setup. I'm not exactly sure if thats right because my sisters are preoccupied with the TV's. -------------------- Blah Blah Blah Blah! Newgrounds! ROCK! |

geomancy is indeed weak but note: its very similar to agrias's and orlandu's sword skills. It has no charge time, has area range, and requires no mp. The effects are sweet, but they rarely kick in. Another thing is that geomancy can be casted anywhere, so it has a greater variety than sword skills.
