Final Fantasy IVDS Trailer
The FMV looks incredibly beautiful, it's seeming that this will become the DEFINITIVE version of FFIV. I love 2D as much as the next old school gamer, but the kind of emotion and nostalgia that this game instills in me, i'm incredibly excited to play through it one more time in the full 3D environment.

Final Fantasy Dissidia Details
The game shot seems to have two pictures of two seperate fights, one involving what appears to be Cecil and Golbez, and the next featuring Zidane and Kuja. On second glance the first two might actually be Garland vs The Emperor from FF1 and FF2 respectively. I can't be certain.

Any chance we could get one of our resident CoNners that can understand Japanese to translate this?

Germ Warfare on Nintendo's Horizon
You play the game as a young inhabitant of Nano Island home to one hundred different types of bacteria. As the game progresses you'll be exploring the island, and be able to both capture and train new types of bacteria. The game's story mode is mission based, and will be 24 chapters long. Of course, to succeed in your missions you're going to have to engage in some germ warfare. That's right, you'll be fighting other teams of bacteria.
In battles players will control an army of germs that first appear as a single pixel on the DS's touch screen. You'll be able to instruct your troops by circling part of the group and then drawing a line, instructing them to go there. You'll also be able to disperse the group you've circled by blowing into the DS microphone. When your germs engage the enemy in combat the top screen will show a zoomed in view, allowing you a nice view of the germ combat. Bacteria of course, will divide and multiply the entire time, keeping your troops with a steady stream of combatants.
Each battle will feature a different requirement from winning, going from things like simply wiping out the enemy, to having the most remaining bacteria.
Kurikin Nano Island Story will release May 24 in Japan, a US launch date has not yet been announced, and it is unknown whether the game will make it here.

Lord of the Rings MMORPG News
If you're a fan of Lord of the Rings, or are just curious about the new kid on the MMORPG block, you should check this out.
Lord of the Rings World Tour site
Just go to the site and follow the instructions and you'll be ready to go.
The full game will launch April 24th and will allow you to experience Middle Earth in all its glory. The game will feature classic characters from the novel as NPCs, such as Gandalf, Gimli, Aragorn, and Frodo. The game seems to be set during the events of the Lord of the Rings novels, even, and as such you'll be able to fight against the forces of Sauron and perhaps help the Fellowship rid Middle Earth of his scourge. In addition you'll be able to create one of four races (Human, Dwarf, Elf, or Hobbit) with customizable features, and then choose one of seven classes (Champion, Guardian, Captain, Burglar, Hunter, Minstrel, Lore-Master)
This game really possesses a lot of potential, but whether it lives up to it is yet to be seen. So if you're curious, like me, why not sign up for the World Tour? Do it quick though, spots are definitely going fast.

Marvel and Cryptic Studios MMORPG in the Works
It would seem that Cryptic Studios and Marvel Comics have crossed sort of tension they had between them after the whole City of Heroes copyright infringement lawsuits. A strange twist indeed after you consider the speculations of people that the only reason Marvel was doing such a thing was to make City of Heroes look bad, before they launched their very own MMORPG.
It seems fairly evident that the game is still more of an idea than that of something definitive, it has been tentatively titled "Marvel Universe Online" and they hope the game will achieve more than the City of Heroes games could. The main focus of CoH being that the game is fun to play, the companies seem to be contemplating some sort of economy reminiscent to that of World of Warcraf for MUOt.
Slated for launch on the Xbox 360 and PC only, one has to wonder though, how different will this game be from the Heroes universe? Since the game IS going to be set in the Marvel universe, there will be more boundaries to their creativity, but at the same time there will be far more ideas to access from. But I suppose that means no generic, mindless Spider-man and Wolverine clones everywhere, since its likely the two will be NPCs. Or will that still have absolutely no bearing on anything at all? Nothing is set in stone at this point I believe, but personally I hope that if the game does go through, you can choose from the very start whether you want to be good or evil, or even better yet you have to somehow earn the title of good evil. Something along the lines of everyone starts off neutral, and then different reactions to events can help dictate your characters alignment.
Basically what i'm saying is something to the extent of, little old lady is in the street, semi truck is fast enclosing on her, if you don't do something she'll be hit. Push her down ++++++ evil, ignore +evil, help her +good.

What we Know About Final Fantasy VI Advance
New confirmed espers: Gilgamesh and Leviathan.
Extra dungeon: Supposedly you'll navigate it with a three party setup similar to Kefka's tower.
Bestiary and Music player: Confirmed, but who didn't see that coming?
Enchanced Graphics: Confirmed, but again, who didn't see that coming.
Now this is just speculation, but, we think they've also indicated there will be a new element, but there's no actual statement of what it is. It's probable that the element is Water, to go with Leviathan, and it seems likely to me that Bismark will gain Water, Maduin will gain Water 2 or Watera, and Leviathan with teach Water, Water 2, and Water 3. As for Gilgamesh, I really can't even guess. There also seem to be indications of a Monster or Boss Rush mode.
So let's make like schoolgirls and gush and gush and gush about our favorite game.
