Final Fantasy VII Remake Trailer Debuts
It's just a minute long, and it mainly focuses upon the very early stages of the game that introduce us to AVALANCHE in the Reactor raid. We also get a glimpse of Aerith and Cloud's first interaction, though, and at the very end a little tiny bit of Sephiroth himself. It's still hard to tell whether the battles are going to go into an all-action mode, or whether they are just a very, very fancy variant of ATB, but what you can see already looks very pretty indeed.Source: Siliconera

Yes, very pretty! I'll admit FFVII falls in the middle of the pack for me when it comes to the list of my favorite Final Fantasy games, but even so I will probably buy the remake at release if I can afford it.

Wasn't she named "Jesse" (a rare female specimen with that spelling) in the original? Also are you sure this isn't a tech demo for the PlayStation 6?

Quote (Rangers51 @ 9th May 2019 15:32) but what you can see already looks very pretty indeed. ![]() Look my disdain for this particular game in the series is as well known here as how unfair my reasons are for that disdain, but I will note that while I didn't much like the art shift, I certainly understood where it was coming from. Mostly because it wasn't very subtle about it's inspirations: ![]() ![]() My point is that the original looked stylized and this looks...homogenized. I certainly understand why. Low rez PS1-era cg certainly needed a lil more pop at resolutions that low and HD is gonna need to sand down the more...uh...esoteric visual choices* to keep from looking out an out silly...but they took out everything. There's just no style left. This looks damn near monochrome next to the original...but thankfully not as much as Advent Children. *Though not as much as I'd assumed. Keeping to Jessie's original look makes it come off like cosplay!
