Bask in the glory of half of my collection of Grandia II quotes. This is what was good about DC. I would even have bought it just for this game, if it weren't given to me as a gift. It is a wonderful game that I rank up with Final Fantasy. Better than half, I'd say. It gave more quotes than FF9. It's not a Square game, so bite me.
Ryudo Hero implies doing something for free. I’m no hero Careful! You’re starting to talk like Mareg! If you always flee from the past, you can never move forward with your life True justice…true power is in the HEART Power is only means to an end It’s never easy to face the past. Especially one you disagree with Again and again you have taken our hope – for this I call you evil True power serves – it does not enslave It does take power to save people, but that power must be used in the right spirit, and with a clean heart The world offers no comfort, no relief. Freedom is only in ourselves. I alone can face my past. I alone can make my destiny The devil’s trade is in damnation Though I lose my life, yet I must act We’re all just people – regardless of where we’re from or who we worship If I do not give in to emotions, I will be safe I will not yield! I already have power, for there is strength in my beliefs… I will protect this world, for there is power enough in my own beliefs… NO! I still have my heart! My body may be damned, my form twisted and made perverse, yet I am human so long as I have my heart! We can use anything from the past to sculpt and mold our future! That is our true power! And so the mighty warriors come to the end of their lengthy, needlessly complicated journey Elena Darkness warps a person’s soul…If someone is truly caught by Darkness, that person will have no future… A thought carries far on the wings of prayer Justice is something that cannot be stolen. It exists in your heart. Ideals can never be lost if you believe in them You cannot keep all the rescues to yourself! If you can see into my soul, you will understand Life is comfort, joy, love – all these things. But life is also pain. Without it, we do not hope, we do not dream. Nor live Tio The heart was not meant for anger, but for…suffering I do not think the human heart…emotions can be controlled Mareg It is only when we recover what we have thought lost do we learn to appreciate its value Rare is the flower that blooms without the sun The sea is not mistaken when the tide rises, nor the stars when they fall. This is the order of things. Make of it what you will Fear weakens the spirit and thus the body follows Even a thought cast aside has the faculty to trouble and sway the mind. There is a danger in this, though the new supplants the old. Though the aged pine chokes the sapling of light, in due time, the sapling will rise…as it must The wise man still tends to the fire, though it burns brightly Even the noble wolf occasionally leaves his den to hunt for a better life for his pack The ever-patient mountain stands proud in the face of a storm It does not take a hurricane to sway the branches of a tree. Tears may flow for reasons other than sorrow The eagle may lose its nest to the wind and weather, but that does not mean all is lost. Nests can be rebuilt, if so chosen The earth weeps. Yet, in the dead of winter, seeds must grow for a new spring Every wolf has a pack to return to To live life in regret is to chase the past. You cannot possibly change what is done. Learn from your past, do not dwell While our past should not dictate our future, we need our past to learn from Even fire cleanses the land it burns It is a warmth that blooms within me; a fragile thing of thread and air unfolding To live free is to pay heed to the voice within you – no more than this Nor can you confirm the sound of a flower opening or the taste of autumn sunset. Feel. This is enough Even the eagle knows nothing but darkness while still unhatched, yet while it has life, it struggles to free itself… Stories are an exercise in vanity and glorification. You must experience life for yourself. Sense with your own heart… Life must be honored. It alone burns brighter than a thousand suns through this eternal night. It alone is our hope. There is no honor in a wasted life, for hope soon withers and dies. Light and Darkness are as fire and wind. Fire brings warmth and comfort, yet it burns and withers that which it touches. The wind blows cold, lifting soil into the air, yet it also bears the seeds of earth. Each, then, bring both life and death. Misc You should at least be familiar with everything you find boring or difficult to read. Chances are, they’re all important -Skye You look pained, lad…but yet, you seem more at peace. That be how a man looks! -CAPT Bakala The world slouches toward ruin. It has forsaken the blessings of God, and destruction is its reward -Voice Humans are such amusing things… -Valmar There is nothing more that I can do for you. Now you must do what you can for yourselves -Elmo There are no “bad†professions. People are all equal. It’s wrong to look down on those who perform a job I don’t want to do -Old man from Carbo Not all are against you. You need not always walk in anger and pain -Father Carius We must think for ourselves and make our own decisions! Only then will we be free -Gatta Power rests in a pure heart, and without a pure heart, you can’t have justice, but you need to be strong to be pure -Gatta Those who are weak may only speak of justice, but the strong will deliver it -Good Melfice To be powerful enough to defeat the inhuman, one must…become like them. One must make a sacrifice -Reena Man was not made for such power – what would we do with it? -Good Melfice The road of life is not meant to be an easy one to travel. Savor the journey, not the destination -Nanaan Villager Confronting death makes one appreciate the value of life, and understanding the value of your own life teaches you not to kill unnecessarily -Nanaan Hunter It is troubling…To take pleasure in the death of another, even in the death of one who has brought such madness to the world -Garlan Village Chief -------------------- "I had to write four novels before they let me write comic books." -Brad Meltzer |

In FFX the Auroch's goal in the tournament. "Let's do our best!" It's good advice.
let's not forget. "Brudda" Wakka say's that every line, but it's a shame...Wakka had no personality. Especially after the Tournament. I liked him too, then I became a Auron and Rikku fan. "Can we eat it?" -Rikku when you fight a Dark blob in Mt Gangaza. THe blob is huge might I add. -------------------- Really Random Quote of the Day: "Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war." - Richard M. True but when they said it, it was like they knew they were going to lose. My favourite from FFX is Jecht when he's dying and Tidus catches him "Your gonna cry, I know you are gonna cry". He wasn't being cruel this time and it proves he knows his son.

Heyyy...MourgeN, they were optimistic! But at least they weren't pesimestic...who knows the Blitzball flu could hit Spira...
Ahh, Jecht...so cruel. When you saw those spheres, you mighta though he would have been more...kinder to Tidus. But no. Damn. Anything Auron says about 'their story' was quite intriguing. Especailly when you meet Yunalesca. -------------------- Really Random Quote of the Day: "Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war." - Richard M.
