is there any way to change your ppls names after the time where u meet them?

In FFVII, I believe you are stuck with whatever name you've given them the first time you meet them

Oh it's true, no changing names for you. Never mind. A game shark might help if you're desperate, as they give you a lot of options, but I'm not sure, as I have never used one myself.

I had never thought about that before.
most of the other FFs have some sort of item you can aquire to change the name of a character after you have selected the name for the first time. So why not FF7? And I believe that the item you are refering to in FF8 is the Dog Tag to change Rinoa's pets name.... i cant remember if there is an item to change a characters name though. |

The item fatman is referring to is the Rename Card which can be gotten by giving up the Namingway card
