Is there any way i can get all the treasure such as the shield materia and still leave the cave?

Yes, you can go through the entire crator, get every item, and still leave. The only part that you cannot leave after is when you get to the bottom, decide your party, and the J-E-N-O-V-A music starts to play. After that, there is no turning back. Just be sure to watch what you're doing when you go down, because it can be tricky getting back up.
