ok, i have spent time preparing my self for sephiorth, mastering most materias, beating all the weapons and the battle arena, getting KOR etc.... i headed to the northern cave and made my way to the 1st gathering place where i went right. i headed down to the second gathering place and prepared for fighting sephiroth. after owning Jenova, (with ultima) Bizarro Sephiroth (with omnislash) and safer Sephiroth (with KoR) i went to the last fight of the game, when the limit reached full and i clicked omnislash sephiroth hit 8000 on me, left with 200hp i countered?!??!? and killed him?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! not using omnislash to end the game, is this a glitch or not?!?!!?!

If you think the glitch is having Omnislash your wrong, you always have it at the end.
I think you ment Sephiroth did 8000 damage to you.
Edit
Oh, you see I always used Omnislash never bothered not to because either way you win. Unless you win and you go to fight Meteor biggrin.gif

It's not a glitch. That always happens if you don't Omnislash first.

You're guaranteed to beat that sephiroth, I believe his attack is based off of a percentage of your HP, and know matter what you do your attack will kill him.

Completely right. The script forces this battle to be unlosable no matter what you do.

1- Any attack will end the fight.

2- Your HP is refilled and any attack against you does 15/16ths of your health (I think, it may be a slightly lower fraction.)

3- Any attack against you is countered with a physical attack. See point 1.

4- You begin the fight with Omnislash and a full limit bar. The implications of this are obvious.

The game is over at that point - it's purely interactive cinematics, for all intent and purpose. I could post the battle script once I get my internet access back, if the original poster still cares by then. wink.gif
