I have just aquired the Mega All Materia that was floating around in the mako-fall. I then tried to work my way back to the highwind so I could now go finish all the Weapons, master all materia, etc. But is it not possible to get back? I noticed that Vincent also gave me a mega all materia. Does that mean that If I were to choose to go left instead of right, I could have gotten back to the highwind with a mega all materia?

I really do apologize for this entire post. I should have read your walkthrough much thoroughly before posting. I have now read that from the first gathering place in the north crater, two of the three paths are "one way" and unreturnable. There is one way to get a mega all materia and still make it back.
