Ruby Weapon location

Hello everybody.
Here is my situation: I´ve done pretty much everything in terms os storyline and side-quests, and, after killing some magic pots to get the KotR to level 2, I decided to kill the weapons. I did the emerald and the ultima in but Ruby Weapon seems to be nowhere. I don´t know what its exactly supposed to look like, but I have rided my chocobo all through the sands and flown low with the highwind and found nothing. Also of note is that, since the very begging of disc 3, I have been seeing all the weapons, but not once I saw anything in the sands os the Corel Desert. Anyone could tell me what is going on? Thanks |

Ruby weapon should be in the gold saucer desert.His head usually sticks out.

You just have to run into him with the Highwind or a Golden Chocobo to get him pissed off, if I remember.

Watch in the desert for a "red head" sticking out of the sand and just bump into it..you'll get a message saying something like "?!!?" and then the fights begin

Also, sometimes it is necessary for you to either save, get into a battle, go into a town, etc. for Ruby to show up after you defeat Ultima. However, if you've done that, and he still is nowhere to be found (be sure to look all over the sands surrounding the Gold Saucer; he sometimes is difficult to spot), you might just have a messed-up game. In wish case, there's nothing you can do to fix it

I don't really see the point in beating him anyway.Besides the amount of ap you get ,you get a gold chocobo but i would rather just breed the chocobo myself.Thats just my opinion though.

You were right Rhea, it only appeared after I saved the game. Should´ve tried that before bothering others, I apologise.
Anyway, is Ruby only supposed to appear after beating Ultima? Regards |

Yes. I don't understand the point of it, but you can only fight him after you've defeated Ultima.

Maybe defeating Ultima makes Ruby sad? I always assumed they dated in highschool, then later, in collage Ultima asked her to marry him... but Ruby called it off because she just wasn't ready... but after a stint with Emerald on the rebound, she realised she was infact pregnant and left him to return to Ultima.
But Ultima felt shunned, and said she was only returning to him because she was knocked up, he agreed to pay child support but wouldn't be with her again... Ruby was heartbroken! She returned to her room and cried for days, even her mum's home made cookies couldn't cheer her up... She decided to name her baby Omega after Ultima's father, and thought in time Ultima would come to understand and trust her again, but then she got the bad news... Ultima was dead! Although in no fit state to fight (being pregnant) Ruby set out to take revenge on her beloved, and decided to ambush them in the desert. ...I assumed that's what EVERYONE thought. -------------------- The Arcana are the means by which ALL is revealed. |
