FFX Bribe Troubles

Hi im playing FFX and im looking to make a weapon with the Overdrive - Ap ability so i can use the Don Tonberry ap Trick. So i found out what item i needed to make this ability which are "10 door To Tomorrows" so i found out i can bribe 2 of them from the "Mech Leader" at Mt. Gagazet for >18 500 gill so i did that and it kept missing and not working. So my question is can anyone tell my how bribe works and why it isnt working or any tips to help when bribing.

First off, that sounds very low. I remember bribing them for 74K (generally, its close to 20X the HP). Im not sure where you got your 18K number from...
Second, it WILL fail occassionally, so just bribe it for a small amount (I usually gave 100 gil) repeatedly afterwards to get it to work. -------------------- Oh sure, I don't have to get kicked in the junk to activate it, but I like it anyway. -- Thief commenting on the difference between Throw and Blue Magic. |

None of the Bribe lists in the Strategy Guide have failed me (for being the correct price). Like was said, it's inevitable that it will sometimes miss. Just give him 1 more

Yes, if you give them the proper amount of Gil, and it doesn't work, just Bribe them for one more Gil. I have no clue if it stacks or not, but it looks like it. It always works for me when it doesn't work.
You most certainly do not have to pay the same amount over again, as I found out. xD -------------------- |
