Thanks to some short-lived and mildly frustrating work, we've gotten our third site up under the CoN domain. We've added a second site dedicated to the internal workings of our favorite games, this time from our happy staffer Djibriel. His old site was pretty ad-ridden, so it was the least we could do to get him set up with something a bit nicer.
![]() So, have fun at the Collapse of Heaven and Earth: http://tenchinohoukai.cavesofnarshe.com/ Thanks, Dji! -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

I feel like this occassion deserves a long post from my side, but how do you expand on a single act of kindness?
Those of you who know my site know it was very horrible. It wasn't web1000, that's much was true, but if your only positive basis of comparison is one that randomly linked you to a site sporting movies where Possible spoilers: highlight to view nude people fornicate in front of cameras in ways that honest to God really don't look all that appealing to either of them you know you got it bad, and that ain't good. Being hosted under the ever-stable and ad-free host CoN really is kind of a little dream coming true, so I got Josh and CoN in general to thank. By all means, take a look at the new and improved site; I updated quite a few things, removed some and added others; now that I finally felt like going to my own site again, I noticed it needed a good clean-up and that's what it got. -------------------- |

I just spent the last 10 minutes reading the 'Loser's Club', so yeah, your site seems interesting.
Only one thing to point out...what's up with all the random question marks? Is that some sort of error, or is my browser just not working right? -------------------- |

I opened it in both IE and Firefox and saw nothing special. Anything specific?

It looks like apostrophes and commas are affected, here are some samples:
Quote And this is the infamous CzarDragon, the new and improved version of FF V?s Shinryu. No significant Battle script (just Battle over and over). Pretty much every self-respecting hack of the game has a CzarDragon in it as a bizarrely intense and difficult opponent. FF V?s Shinryu legalizes that, since he was the most difficult boss in the game (not counting the useless-to-beat Omega Weapon). Quote This is Zozo. The creepy monster?s are probably the Espers. This must?ve been the ?honest? guy in Zozo who says this (?cause he?s not lying), but it never passed my eyes in the game. Quote The first one is a dummy, and you?ll get a scene involving CID and SETZER interacting (in a bad way) instead if you head back after the banquet to the Blackjack. Not to be confused by :? SETZER: Repairs aren't finished yet. You'd better take the boat from Albrook.?, which he sais after the scene is over. There are alot more, but these are just some samples. But yeah, *still checks out site* -------------------- |

I was actually just at your site a few days ago, looking for the W Wind guide, but I didn't find it there. Yea, there weer TONS of ads, though. Good change!
It's still one of my favorite sites, just because of all the FFV stuff and cool FFVI stuff. -------------------- Is PJ |

Quote (Caesar @ 11th August 2006 18:39) I was actually just at your site a few days ago, looking for the W Wind guide, but I didn't find it there. Of course not. I'm the one who wrote that guide; he just joked about it. And it's about time you moved out of that ad-ridden hell, Dji. ![]() -------------------- |

You wrote it? Actually, now that you mention it, I DO remember a few things you said about it on mnrogar's. Yea, that's right. And that explains why it's on your site and not his. Hm. Well, my bad. Sorry!

I used to look at your site alot back when I had actual internet, and I must say, I was wondering why you hadn't had it moved to the CoN hosting bloc yet.

And I thought the site was kick-arse beforehand. I haven't really looked around the new site yet, but it does look like it's jumped a few levels of cool.

Movin' on up to the Caves of Djibriel, eh? Well, the stuff you've written so far rocks the casbah, so it's good to see your site getting a facelift.

Congratulations to Djibriel and congratulations to CoN for yet again increasing its awesomeness.
By the way, Zeromus_X, it's an encoding issue, and I get that sometimes too. One of the slanted quote characters (likely the one that slants down-left) is being misread by your browser's current encoding as a question mark. It sometimes does other weird things for me, such as a question mark inside a diamond. To solve the problem, try changing your character set (Firefox: View -> Character encoding -> pick another one from the list that pops up). -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing.
