hi everyone. i just bought final fantasy IV advance yesterday and when i click the A button to confirm a save, nothing happens. and when i click on quick save, nothing happens either. the screen just comes up for the saves, but it doesnt actually save. has anybody had this problem? what should i do? is the game defective? any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Well... It's not like Final Fantasy 1 & 2:DoS, where you can save anywhere, you have to be on a save point or a map.

If you've done that, press A on the Save, then press A again on one of the files. It will ask you if you want to save. Press A on yes.

The Quicksave is different. It saves anywhere, but you can only reload it once. It's good for something like trying to get the Pink Tail from the Flan Princesses, or when you're halfway through a dungeon and you can't be bothered to play anymore.

If I haven't helped, then, it may be a defective file. Try the other two folders.

yeah, i have tried to save from places on the map, and on the first save place when tellah joins your party. what happens is that is says press A to save, so i press A and and then the A and B choices dissapear and then nothing ever happens. it just stays blank and the left side of the screen says empty. and i tried saving on all three different slots. none of them seem to work. so i don't know what is happening.

ok, i finally got it to work. all i did was take the game out and then put it back in. then it saved for the first time. i guess something must have been out of whack or something when i first put the game in.
