Hey guys i was wondering what gender people think quina is personally i think "He" is a male because i dont think any female would be so obsessed with eating. What ya think?

Quina is a s/he, obviously, but I've always thought s/he was feminine, and just referred to Quina as 'her'. Apron, I suppose.

I would guess Quina would be female to balance the party (4 guys, 4 girls as opposed to 4 guys, 3 girls, and one that's none of the above) but the Qu race/tribe is supposed to androgynous and have no determinable gender if I remember correctly.

Quina always struck me as definitely feminine. Androgynous origins or not, every

I always thought of Quina as a girl. Not because of any particular evidence pointing i that direction but she reminded me of my brother's ex-girlfriend. My brother's ex-girflfriend was vietnamese and thought she could speak perfectly good English sometimes she'd speak in broken English just to be weird or whatever (she was pretty weird but it was a cute kind of weird), so quina's prhases like "I so hungry" made me think of this girl. So that made Quina's gender female.

I always think of Quina as asexual; however I almost always refer to her using the feminine pronoun

I've always thought of Quina as a 'she', but to be honest the First Qu's I can remember were in FFVII (maybe earler) they were the enemies that would cast mini and try to eat your party members, Well when FFIX comes around they've evolved to be more human-like. Qu's have always reminded me of frog's and thanks to a bit of information from jurassics park, certain frogs can pick they're gender, or Qu's could have both be like flowers.

Even Quale addresses Quina as "s/he," which coupled with the fact that Quina can use a few male- and female-only equips, seems to me like a deliberate attempt to mask gender. And that's what makes the game fun!

Well, since you said it that way it would definitley have to be a female because she seems to have more female characteristics than male "in 'my' opinion"!!

I'll bet Quina makes 'big-girl' comments, off-camera. There's someone at my work
that's like this, and I can totally see Quina making snarks like, 'No wanna walk. This big girl hungry!' She takes pride in how she looks, even to the point of always having candy, because 'you know a big girl's always gotta have something to eat!'. i dont know, Quina's always came across to me as a guy, but I havennt played the game in a few years, so Ill have to replay it and see what I think. She may be an "it" but the designers obviously leaned her acions towards being more girlish. I think it's like gogo, who seems to be more masculine then femminine, even though theyre both h/shes.

One of the "BIG" reason why I think Quina is a female is because when Vivi and Quina go through the ceremony to be able to pass the guard of condi pete, the minister, David Heavenguard, says "may the blessin's o' heaven be upon this man an' woman!"
