While I was fighting emerald weapon, he froze, my limit bar froze, but the 20:00 minute timer kept going down. Has this happened to anyone else? This was the materia I had equipped. (I was only using cloud, the other 2 characters were dead, and he had ultima weapon, mystile, and tough ring equipped)

WEAPON: Enemy Skill-W Magic Final Attack-Revive Quadra Magic-Master Magic HP Absorb-Master Magic

ARMOR: Speed Plus-Luck Plus MP Absorb-Ultima HP Plus-Magic Plus

All of them were mastered except ultima and W magic were at level one.

It could be due to a scratched or otherwise dirty disc surface. The way you describe it, it sounds like the game was trying to load something but couldn't.

nope, it's not that. it always occurs when I try to use ultima on him and his eyes, plus I'm not playing it off a disk.

In that case, your problem should be obvious. You're using an emulator with either a badly dumped CD image, or one that doesn't support a function or mode called when the Ultima animation plays. This doesn't normally occure during the Emerald weapon battle, and if you can cause it consistantly to occure, the problem isn't with the game but the means you're using to play it.
