This is some crappy story I'm writing. It's a parody of "The Odd Couple" starring FFVI characters and a CSM original. I just have the first chapter done.

I figured since most FF fanfics take a more serious, Anime type tone, I figured I'd go with a sitcom feel, as that hasn't been done yet. Something lighthearted, funny, and that can be read by people who don't necessarily like dark, serious games. The FFVI cast seems the most logical to do it with, although the FFIX cast would do similarly well. Maybe I'll put Zidane or Vivi in a later chapter. I already have plans for Rikku. -CSM

Taking it seriously is all fine an dandy but if you can't take a joke about it then make a few of your own, what's the point? Of course, personally I don't take any sort of deliberate Anime tone in anything I write. No, "Militaristic" describes my approach. Anyway, always nice to see someone doing what you do and since I write spoofs and parodies it's nice to see how someone else approaches it. Quite amusing, and the characters as you have altered are set up quite easily and swiftly. Setzer is now a generic loser, and Gau is... well, Gau. This is the perfect platform for crossovers and technobabble because in a serious work such events strech suspension of disbelief unless you pull them off well. In a parody/comedy, who cares why there's a Dalek in the corner? I thought the whole thing was pretty funny. Just some suggestions: don't make Setzer a drunk, have him keep his airship, and make him find a huge load of money that he gambles alot with, and try not to have him be obbsessed with women (that's Edgars job). Just some suggestions.

I like the start good idea to have Setzer and Gau stuck together.
although it is very hard to believe that Setzer lost his money through Gambling It would make more sense to have it be more like the old odd couple, He ended up marrying a gold digger, and she took all his stuff during the divorce, the airship, his money. And I can see Setzer accepting the services of willing women, i also see him being very picky when it comes to his alchohal, it'd be interesting to see him as a mild alchohalic. Edit and i do love the idea of a comedy fanfic instead of something with an overly dramatic tone.
