If I had to name them, their names would be the following:
Terra-Ashley (Don't know why) Locke-? Setzer-Me (He's my favorite character) Celes-? Sabin-Corey(Cousin:strong) Shadow-Stephen(Sneaky, fast) Mog-Caitlin (younger cousin: likes to talk alot, always joyful) Relm-? Cyan-? Strago-My uncle (he's very wise and knowledgable) Umaro-? Gogo-Me again (I have a personality of a combination of my sister and my brother) That's about it. I really gave this alot of thought. -------------------- Profanity is for those who lack the intelligence and imagination to otherwise express themselves. Although Magus sounds way cooler, so I eventually stopped renaming him. |

Just for kicks, I named every character in the game after people I know in real life. I named Terra after myself, naturally.

This time around I'm playing FF6j so I've left their defaults. Though I think I've always left the defaults anyway, as it was my first ever RPG. Ah, the memories.
Somewhat related, one of my friends named everyone in Chrono Trigger "Lavos" once and said it was pretty funny. |

I mostly got over changing names when I kept gettign confused reading material on the game and not knowing who was being spoken about because I didn't remember who I named what, but I do still have two chatracters that get a change:
Celes: Celest, because I always think it's Celeste and feel like they chopped off a letter so I mispronounce it even in my head. Cyan: Ramirz, this one's interesting, FF3 came out around the same time as Highlander the animated series and both were about post-apocalyptic worlds where the hero has to seek out and draw power from ancient beings, so I always compared the two. Ramirez was the Highlander's swordsman mentor, so I just can't help but notice the resemblance. In my mind, the retainer of Doma is Ramirez, I know no Cyan. -------------------- |

I think ya'll have been waiting long enough! Here are a couple going from the least know about characters to the true main characters (in reverse chronological order from when you meet them.).
Gogo- Gogo (What else would you name "it"?) Umaro- Umaro (Can't think of anything else.) Relm-Brooke (Good friend of mine, know for about a year.) Strago-Gramps (I know someone said this before me, but I seriously had this name for his because it shows he's old, and knowledgeable.....of nothing!) Well, that's it for now. Locke - Dwayne (me) Edgar - Beaker (one of my best friends) Sabin - Lonnie (Beaker's 'brother' so it seemed perfect) Shadow - Richrd (Richard doesn't fit, and even though he was a good friend, I knew little about him.) Cyan - Rodney (My uncle) Gau - Joe (a friend of mine) Celes - Krystl (Krystle doesn't fit, and it's a long story) Setzer - Jeff (One of my best friends) Strago - Bubba (Rodney's son) Relm - Kuri (Short for Kurisutaru [japanese form of the name "Crystal", which is as close to "Krystle" as I can get]) Gogo - Timmy (My brother, he loves this character) Umaro - Jon (Jeff's brother) Mog - (usually leave this as Mog) -------------------- "I've got nothing to lose but my life, and I got that for free." - Setzer, FFVI (PSX Remake) |
