well I decided to start this since i myself am left handed
and have always favored left handed characters

The list so far includes
Kain Highwind(ffIV)
Cid Highwind(ffVII) (gotta love the highwind family for being left handed)
Reno (ffVII)
Ryu (BoFII)
Link (LoZ)
Frog (CT)
Magus (CT)

and one that is possible but not definate
i believe Sir Fratley from FFIX is left handed, but i'm not too sure about that

well you can add to the list
put in your input as to whether some characters aren't left haded

and lets see how many we can find

Leon and Layla in FFII were left-handed. I can't think of any others at the moment.

you take that back at once! clearly you haven't played CT at all, or at least haven't payed much attention to the storyline as much as you should have. Frog is far from a loser, and Magus is much cooler than you make him out to be.

Although the sprite of link in the first Legend of Zelda has him holding his sword in his left hand, I believe that he is left handed in every other game in the series.

by LoZ i meant the whole series, i just figured since they're always named link, the name i didnt really need to clarify beyond that point
i guess i thought wrong

Left handed flashy swordsman. Born into nobility thanks to Soul Edge is thrust into poverty. Adopts a little 12 year old and fights Nightmare to make the world a better place for only her. Who wins? SC3 spoiler won't say.

However he is considered very low tier. I don't blame this on the fact that he's a lefty. But the fact that recovery gaps in his moveset are awful.

Left-handed characters rock! (Kain, Cid, etc.)

The same thing happens in A Link to the Past (and possibly others), i.e, the sword switches when facing left or right. Pretty common 'glitch' in 2D games. In both Link is clearly seen using his left hand when facing forward or when he has his back turned.

Just a note: I haven't paid attention in ALL Zelda games, but I do know for a fact he's left handed in the first Legend of Zelda, Zelda II, A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and The Wind Waker. I'm positive he is in the rest of 'em as well.

I'm probably a bit more overboard about being left-handed than most of you are, so forgive me if I seem a bit over-the-top about it...

I once fell head-over-heels in love with a girl, and a lot of my infatuation had to do with her being left-handed.

Edit: Also, Kain from FFIV rocks. Left handed to the max.

yeah i've known about that for a while now, also that there was an army with nothing but left-handed soldiers who went undefeated in every battle

the belief that left hadedness is evil was probably made by jealous righthanders

but back to topic
sephiroth appears to be left handed


and i'm having trouble discerning from these pics if frately is left or right-handed



they look left-handed to me because with a spear right hand is forward for left-handers
but the first pic shows his left hand ready for the forward position

In the sprited games, he appears both due to the angle, but he is a lefty, through and through.

Seriously, guys; it's not too terribly difficult to read the previous posts before you go repeating a moment of confusion that's already been resolved. I can promise you that.

Getting back on topic, Melodia, Nelbo and Joy - all from Bahamut Lagoon - appear to be left handed. They could be just holding their staves in that hand for no particular reason, as I believe most of the other magic users in the game do the same thing, and it'd be pretty odd for ALL the priests and summoners to be lefties.

Palpaleos and Byuu, from the same game as above, are likely ambidextrous. Y'know - them being skilled, double sword-wielding cross knights 'n' all.
