I've played through FFVI numerous times, and during my newest challenge Low level Game no Gau, I saw the Edgar/Sabin cutscene for the first tme, when you enter figaro castle and rest at the inn. Now my question is what other optional cutscenes have I missed out on I know about Shadow's past, but are there aothers?

here are a few that come to mind:

1) In WOR, take Sabin and Gau to the crazy man's house. A long scene about Gau and his father will take place.

2) Take Locke to Kolingen to see his history with Rachel.

3) Really small cut scene - In WOB, after getting the airship, travel through Sabin's scenario (Lete, Doma, Veldt, Nikea), and then enter the occupied South Figaro. Some guy will sneak you into the port without the troops seeing you.

4) Not really a cut snene - go to Albrook after the Esper Continent becomes a floating continent. The entire town is covered in darkness and the people complain about it.

5) Finally, the one with Setzer and Gogo. Gogo finally reveals his true identity. tongue.gif

In the WoR, have Edgar and Cyan in your active party to get the most out of the cutscene.
Possible spoilers: highlight to view

After the banquet, travel to the crashed Blackjack to have a chat with Cid and Setzer. It's a little forshadowing on what's revealed to you in Daryl's Tomb (and Setzer gets pissed at Cid).

If you let Shadow die on the Floating Continent, Relm gets a dream when you save her.

Wow I've never seen that, thanks Djibriel.
This has been a tougher challenge by the way I just finished Narshe snowfields with Sabin 34 HP KOd celes and edgar Sabin with two earrings helps a lot right now, He was able to deal 650 damage to Kefka, each round.

I can't think of another optional scene at the moment. Instead, some often overlooked content that expands an existing scene:

Possible spoilers: highlight to view
During the sequence inside the Returner's hideout in the WoB, before you step outside to speak to Banon, inspect the north end of the table in the far rightmost section of the main room. If you press 'A' in the correct place, you'll discover a piece of paper and, when prompted, should then choose to leave it where it is. Once everyone's gathered around the same table for the 'meeting' scene (assuming you chose "Yes" in response to Banon's wishes), Banon will briefly become quite upset over the piece of paper that was left on the table, and Terra will laugh at his li'l anti-litterbug tantrum.

That's something I want to do in my next playthrough, and that is some of the stuff I am looking for silverfork, muchas gracias.

Edit
I just finished the magitek factory, with an average level of 11 (party) overall average is roughly 9. Sabin's aurabolt played a crucial part as well as Edgar's Drill. battling the cranes was rather easy, I just went all out offense, which some may consider luck. Every round Sabin did aurabolt for 900ish damage Setzer and Edgar did H-bomb and chainsaw for 700+ damage. Locke died during the second round. i got lucky and both setzer and sabin attacked the one on the left along with Edgar, so he died quickly, so did the other.. Basically though, Aurabolt owns the magitek faculty.

Don't forget the Daryl cutscene! When the Blackjack first lands on the Imperial continent, walk allllll the way back to the broken airship. In the engine room, you'll find Setzer and Cid talking, and Setzer will talk about Daryl. It's a great little scene.

In my opinion, you'll miss out on one of the best scenes of the entire game if you nurse Cid back to health on the Solitary Island instead of letting him DIE.

Bring Sabin and Edgar with you in the opera, and afterwards on the Blackjack you'll see a little present-day continuation of the coin toss scene.

In the WoR, bring Terra with you to the Ancient Castle for some dialogue from her.

Of course, bring Sabin and Gau with you to visit Gau's crazy father for one of the funniest and most touching scenes in the game (which I'm sure you've already seen, but). The more characters you have at this point, the better.

I can't think of any others at the moment.

Well D already pointed that one out and it is a good cutscene.

I'll spoil the part I remember biggrin.gif
Possible spoilers: highlight to view

Apparently, back in history there was a woman who fell in love with Raiden, an Esper, so Terra looks down after reading her diary and says, "Love between a human and an Esper..." Yeah.

If certain characters are there, the dialogue flows differently.

Like, if you take Celes to the Floating Continent, something happens. If you take Celes AND Cyan, he speaks, as well.

And of course, taking Relm and Strago to Thamasa in the WOR, taking Cyan to sleep in Doma castle, stuff like that.

Thanks. It's too bad that it's something anyone could've imagined her saying at such a point. I was hoping for something a bit more insightful into her character, like she's moved on or something.

WoR really could've stood to have more entire party scenes.

There's a part after you first find Cyan where if you talk to a girl at the pub, she will flirt with him. A little bit of dialogue follows. Anyone remember which town it was? It's going to drive me nuts for the rest f the day...

It's during Sabin's side story, Tzen I think. I know it's right after the serpent trench before you hop on the boat.

Edit
Well I had the name wrong and somebody beat me to the punch.
