All my bosses "refill" their life a few times, so they can't be one-hit KOed. Emerald and Ruby have the same amount of life they did in FFVII (or close enough), and Caesar only has like 150,000, unless you......ehhhh nevermind.
RL and I had a great system going. He would make some sick command for me to use in my animation scripts and I would see what damage I could do to it. In the end, we made some pretty sick nasty attacks, the most notable was Omnislash which I gave to Cecil. I kinda miss the old days. ![]() It's not available in patch format yet, since it's really not completed. It was intended to be a full remake hack, but as RL said, it has basically become a monster patch with a bunch of new moves and characters available to you to make it interesting (Penguin!). If I just finished up some REALLY bad glitches, I would be able to release it. And Zantetsuken, sorry for kinda stealing your thread. ![]() -------------------- Is PJ |

Since I've been thinking about this sort of thing myself lately, here are my two suggestions:
![]() Doomsinger (palette-swap of the Archeosaurus from FFV) Normal Attack: Bite, also causes death if character is not immune. Special Attacks: Foul Wind (gives character 'undead' status) + W. Wind, Bone Flare (non-elemental all-enemy attack) --------------------------------- The Great Calculator (no picture, but its just a palette swap of FFV's Gogo) Normal Attack: Randomized damage from 0-9999. Counter Attack: If the damage was LESS than or EQUAL to the calculator's last attack, the calculator heals the attacker for said damage. If the damage is GREATER, the calculator kills the attacker. If the attacker does not attack the calculator, the attacker is removed from battle. -------------------- Oh sure, I don't have to get kicked in the junk to activate it, but I like it anyway. -- Thief commenting on the difference between Throw and Blue Magic. |

A boss I would make up would be a boss called "Omnima." He would have all magic learned, and would have 999 Mag. Pow. He would be a secret boss in which you could get the legendary spell "Omni." Omni immediately takes all HP from the enemy and gives it equally to all allies. In order to defeat Omnima, you have to cast Life3 because he kills all allies at the same time, then have someone with high speed cast Life3 once again since Omnima casts Ultima twice. Just so you know, he has the Gem Box equipped and you can steal it from him, but he still does the Ultima attack twice.
Thanks to whoever started this topic. I love making up stuff for video games. Pretty fun!! Ok, and he'll have 999 Magic and Physical Block, AND he'll have 999 speed!! Setzer, I don't know if you EVER heard of such a thing as BALANCE in enemies, because, even compared with Caesar's overkill bosses, yours seems, well, UN-balanced.
As for a custom enemy/boss I thought of something like this: Incubus (can't remember wether the name's taken): At the start of the battle (and every few turns) he casts sleep on all your allies. Each turn he can control for one action (thus waking up) one sleeping character. Once hit with a physical attack, he'll counter attack on all your chars with a non-elemental, unblockable magic attack. There's a secret way to defeat him in one shot Possible spoilers: highlight to view Use the AlarmClock (or whatever item cured 'Sleep') or Sleep spell on him. -------------------- "I fell off the mountain of words at around the 10,000ft mark.
