Sorry if this has been asked/posted about before, feel free to delete.

Right, so I'm in the WoR and I would like to fight Chupon. The thing about that is that he sneezes me out of the battle before I have a chance to fight him! What do i do?

Well, you'd have to have insane speed, or luck (real life luck) for him not to use Sneeze, and use his normal attack. Locke is good with this, give him the Valiant Knives, and get him to a high level with proper Esper boosts, and give him the Offering and Genji Glove relics. (8x 9,999 = Dead anything.) That's only one way to do it, that I can think of.

I haven't played in a while, but iirc equipping a character with Dragoon Boots and the Dragon Horn will make this battle a bit easier to bare.

I made an attempt at the Dragoon Boots technique, but you have got to have a monstrously fast character to keep him/her in the air that long, and for the duration of the battle without Chupon taking 'em out. Plus which, if I remember right, doesn't Chupon only give you an Elixir in the Arena? I do remember that the item was so not worth it.

Yeah, it's an Elixir. Just about anything you bet, other than a select set of items, will result in you battling Chupon for an Elixir.

Although...if you figure out a winning strategy, you could exchange your potions for elixirs.

Also remember that, while you lose the item you bet if you lose the battle, getting blown away counts as a draw and you don't actually lose the item. (As I can remember this is true.)

If luck is on your side you can take him out with a couple of Genji Glove / Offering 9999 hits. Just act fast and keep trying.

Wanna hear something different?...I tried to defeat him with Setzer morphed into an Imp equipped with Fixed Dice and Dice, you know the main problem in a colosseum battle is that you can't control your character, so if the character is morphed into an imp it surely will attack...happy.gif. Too bad I tried that technique with LV 60 or so...is useless anyway, unless you can make two attacks that is around 30000-35000 each. Or you can replace your Genji Glove for a Black Belt relic and pray to the heavens that Chupon hits you physically...two times.

Chupon is vulnerable to the Stop status, so contrary to popular belief you don't need to be very high-leveled to defeat the thing. Shadow + Stunner + DragoonBoots + Dragon Horn and some luck is all you need.
