Hello, I am Myst Knight, a Final Fantasy writer and artist. I have come to this forum to share my art and fiction, and I think it's pretty good. However, these works feauture an incestuous pairing, (Ramza and Alma, no less) since incest is an interest of mine as far creative works are concerned. (not interested in participating in real-life incest, though -_-;) Disregarding that, my pics have proven to be relatively tame so far, and most of my writing doesn't exceed the ecchi level of something like Love Hina.

I've been effectively chased off forums for my deviant work, so I'm just going to ask: is it alright to post material like that here? I'm not nessesarily looking at getting included on the site; getting comments and critisism on the message board is enough for me.

Don't answer questions unless you know your answer is right, please. Your Creations is for anything you make that you don't want to see posted to the main CoN site. Submissions is for things that you do want us to evaluate and post.

Honestly, based on your description it doesn't seem like anything we'd probably put on the main site. We're pretty reticent about adding content that is patently not family-friendly. But the only way to know for sure, I think, is to evaluate pieces on a case-by-case basis.

Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN?

To clarify for staff who probably haven't seen Love Hina (or have you, Del?), the relations level is more like a male character accidentally seeing the panties of the opposite sex after he trips over his own feet looking at the hot tub from the balcony, or something humorous like that. The characters only go as far as kissing, sexually.

So, Myst, you're saying it goes about that far? I've never played FFT, so I don't know much about it. I'm not a fan of incestuous writing myself, but if you think it tells a good story, then it could work. We do have readers as young as 13 here, though.

I personally don't want to chase you away, however, I don't know what the staff will do.

No, I think Silver had the right idea the first time. You all said that the My Creations forum is for stuff I don't want to see posted to the main site, Rangers51, and though I do want it evaluated, I think it might be best if some of my work DOESN'T get submitted to the main site. However, if work is evaluated on a case-by-case basis, my work may not have a chance of getting submitted to the site, anyhow. So I'll just post on Site Submissions board for fun, and leave it to you to determine if it's acceptable for the site.

Though I don't like to undermine young people's ability to make strong choices, I think it might be best to discourage people younger than 18 from viewing my work. I'll rate all my work R.

There's nothing in the game whatsoever to suggest a romantic relationship between Ramza and Alma, Elena.

I've seen several writers and artists also try to depict the main character of FFT (Ramza) and his best friend (Delita) as a homosexual couple. Again, nothing in the game whatsoever suggests this.

I don't care for the incestuous or homosexual slants that people try to make FFT fit into. This is not only due to my morals and upbringing, though. It also has a big part to do with the fact that I don't think fanfics and art in this vein are true to the game, since they are following concepts that fly completely in the face of the way the game was intended.

I see what you're saying Hamedo, but you have to keep in mind that fanfiction is what the individual writer makes of the game and thinks would be an interesting scenario. Of course, not everyone agrees with it, and sometimes it comes out just weird. Sometimes you get gold from it.

It's possible, you're right. This guy could write a gem of a tale of incest between Ramza and his sister. I'll reserve judgement on his writing skills until I see his work.

The spirit of a good fanfic is, to me at least, to take what the game gives you and go beyong the framework of the game. Expand on the games themes and ideas, and interject your own stuff as well. Something that is completely off base from the game, be it FFT or FFVII, just doesn't interest me much.

A bit off subject, but the best FFT fanfic I ever read was all about the final battle in the graveyard of airships.
