Quote (NeoEx-Death @ 4th August 2006 01:31) FF3: Those four old men that pretended to be the Light Warriors. Uhg. FF4: All of them except for Kain, Cecil, Yang, and Rydia. FF5: Lenna, at first. Then I started liking her because of the flashback. FF6: Mog, Umaro, Gau, Relm, Strago, and Terra. FF7: Cloud, SEPHIROTH!, Barret, Aerith, and Cait Sith. FF8: ALL OF THEM! FF8 sucks. FF9: Zidane, Steiner, Amarant, Eiko, and Quina. Vivi, Garnet, and Freya were fine. Wow with all those hated characters it's surprising you even like Final Fantasy at all. |

Quote Honestly I hated the whole cast of FFTA... I also didn't like FFTA generally. It didn't have a good setup as the original FF games. Irritating characters? Well... characters rarely irritate me... but probably Edward. We'd be in the middle of fight, all of the sudden he's gone and I only have four characters to up against a huge boss and I'm like WTF??!!! I KINDA NEEDED YOU BACK THERE!!! Still FF4 is my favorite game even though it's the only one with a character that got on my nerves.

ff5: Krile. I hate that child-her old man had some guts! Galuf 4tw ff6: Haven't played the game...Some say it's the best FF, when I get the chance I'll go buy it (original) no doubt. ff7: hm. all party chars were so adorable (kitten sith yum yum). An NPC? maybe... or an enemy? can't decide... ff8: Edea. ff9: QUINA-no doubt. ff10: Tidus. -------------------- Ask me ANY FFV question! PM me! Quote (FF Master @ 1st August 2006 16:21) NPC's: Brother For hitting on his cousin and he is pretty much useless in the game and you could take him out and never know the difference. That's not true. You would notice, because you'd have a peaceful game for once and not was to throw your controller at the TV just to shut him up. ^^ |

Relm takes the cake. I wish I could have HER leap on the Veldt, and leave her there.
Aeris was pretty goddamn annoying too, if you ask me. What with her constant "CLOUD U'LL PROTECT ME RIGHT LOL?" and the way she laughed at a couple inappropriate times. |

DISCLAIMER: This may look like a long list, but that's just because I'm opinionated. I really have enjoyed the majority of the FF series, just not the newer stuff so much.
FF1: Black Belt. Not even the Thief was as useless in the early levels, and later on his lack of armor made him scarcely more durable than a mage. FF4: No one comes to mind personality-wise. Edward's "auto-hide on critical" was irritating, but face it, he was a minstrel. He did better than Justin Timberlake would have. FFMQ: As much as people rag on this one, I'm surprised I'm the first to mention it. Or maybe I'm the first to like the game well enough. Anyways, Kaeli's whole "I'm poisoned so I can't go on, despite poison being a common status ailment" rather irked me. FF5: X-Death has to be the worst FF villian ever. Silver goes to the entire concept of Faris pretending to be a man -- talking to the pirates pretty much shoots it down, they obviously know she's a she. FF6: Gogo. At least the other filler characters had some sort of story, however brief. They had some sort of reason for joining the team. Not Gogo. FF7: The. Entire. Freaking. Game. FFTactics: St. Ajora and the Zodiac Braves, for not putting up enough of a fight. Silver goes to Orlandu, for being so completely bleeding overpowered. FF8: No one really stands out as being bad. No one really stands out as being good. No one really stands out, and by Disc 4 I really didn't care what happened to whom. FF9: See FF7. Aside from Tactics, the PS FFs really weren't my thing. FF10: Something about Seymour always irks me, though I suppose that's a good thing -- it always makes him a pleasure to kill. FF10-2: Just...no. This is the one that'll have me renting FF12 before I buy it. Did Square lose their freaking minds? -------------------- Wasabi Viniagrette: Mix 1/3 C rice vinegar, 2 Tbsp sesame oil, and 2 tsp powdered wasabi. Excellent over cold udon noodles and shiitake mushrooms for a Japanese pasta salad. |

Haha oh yeah, I forgot about Mystic Quest. I'm in the middle of playing it through again right now, actually.
Kaeli was definitely the most annoying, no arguments there. Not to mention that you go to all the trouble of saving her, and you don't get anything in return. |

Quote Excuse me... But why do you find Exdeath irritating? Have you forgotten what makes a true villain? A villain is someone you can learn to hate and underappreciate through their actions. How was Exdeath a horrible villain? I mean, first he FF5: X-Death has to be the worst FF villian ever. Possible spoilers: highlight to view and second killed Galuf, the most memorable old man in the Final Fantasy series, who actually made a much more amusing scene than Tellah Possible spoilers: highlight to view If that's not it, could you give me a better reason for stating he's the "worst" villain? Or did you mean the "fwahahahaha"? Can't villains laugh proudly at their personal accomplishments? Exdeath found no more use for Gilgamesh when he realized how weak he became, that he would betray his own ally! What other FF villain would do such a miserable thing to their own friends? Kefka is the alternate. |

A villain is someone you can learn to hate and underappreciate through their actions. How was Exdeath a horrible villain? Because I couldn't hate or underappreciate him. Most vilians have their reasons for acting the way they do. X-Death was too flat, kinda like the Klingons in the original Star Trek series -- pissed off at the universe and you've no idea why. Sealed for 30 years, sure, anyone's cranky when they've slept too long. Big whoop. Too much "fear me, I'm evil" and not enough "here's why he's evil." If someone's gonna be that much a part of the game and not introduced at the very end, it'd be nice to know why you're fighting him, aside from he likes to kill people and break stuff. -------------------- Wasabi Viniagrette: Mix 1/3 C rice vinegar, 2 Tbsp sesame oil, and 2 tsp powdered wasabi. Actually about declaring my hatred towards the three brothers in FFAC, I don't mind them now actually they're alright I found every time I watched that film I liked it more and more but it will never live up to the game obviously.
I suppose the only FF character I hate is Brother from X-2. He was fine in FFX, good midfielder. |

FF8 - Squall. This guy b!tches and complains so much, i actually thought he was having his period throughout half the game.
FF9 - Rusty. He's one ugly son of a b!tch, the rattling all through the game drove me insane. Runner-up is quina, who i personally can't stand listening to. FF10 - Wakka. He talks like a stoned canadian. Being a devout yevonite didnt exactly help him be any less annoying. I swear we should set up Wakka and yevon up together. |

Hmm.. Annoying Characters..
FFIV : The little kids that used magic. Parom and Palom or something. Possible spoilers: highlight to view I was so happy when they got petrified and died. Too bad they came back alive. FFVI : Cyan.. he was just useless and ... un useful.. Also Umaro sucked, and Gestahl was a total asshole and deserves to be shot. In the face. Twice. FFVII : Hojo.. evil little douchebag.. Cait Sith too, he was annoying and useless. FFTA : All? FFIX : All.....? (except Vivi, of course, he was the only thing that made me continue to play the game.. Till I get that little girl with summons..) FFX : Tidus.. His voice was annoying and ... yeah |

OK, here's the list (A lot are NPCs, so didn't have to put up with them for long)
FFIV - Edward, the useless cabbage that he was. FFVII - Cait Sith, appalling character, wanted to have Ruby bury him under the sand and not return. When he sacrificed himswelf in Temple of the Ancients, I was delighted. Unfortunately, didn't last long. FFVIII - Fujin, indoor voice please. FFIX - Zorn and Thorn, like listening to Yoda on crack. FFX-2 - Brother, violated the 11th commandment - Thou shalt not get the horn over thy cousin. I'll be adding to this later. -------------------- I like stories! Just because I have a low post count does not mean I lack knowledge. |

I'm not very pleased with the stoned Canadian comment. Stoned Canandians actually sound quite normal. Anyways...
Most irritating characters that I can think of: ~FFIV: Edward. I couldn't wait to get rid of him. What's the point of having him fight with you? ~FFIX: Kuja. His poetry and comments just bugged me. And the way he didn't think the world should go on without him. Suck it up princess. -------------------- Why, hello guys! Everyone in the main series from FF7 onwards.
Rydia. Locke and Celes, but only when they were in their "fight" during the last bit of the WoB. Most everyone from FFTA except Cid, Ezel, and Babus. -------------------- |

FF4 - Palom and Porom. UGH.
FF7 - Yuffie. FF8 - Rinoa. FF9 - Eiko. FFX - Rikku and Tidus. I really dislike chipper/cheerful personalities. They make me tired just listening to them. -------------------- "You're so beautiful! ...You're a man...?!" -man in Troia bar, to Cecil |

Yuna by far. I couldnt STAND her. And Tidus too come to think of it, you know somethings wrong with a game when the main male character looks and acts like a chick. Rikku too, uh, Polom and Parom from 4, I found them pretty useless but they were alright I guess. No one else comes to mind.

Tidus, I couldn't stand his whiny, clueless character
Squall, same problem as Tidus, but not as bad Cait Sith, I just couldn't take that character seriously, and he was useless in battle. |

Heres mine,
FF I: Dont really hate anyone because most of them didnt have names. FF II: Really hated Borghen because of him, Josef died. FF III: I hated Ingus, just let him stay dead at The Floating Continent. FF IV: Tellah, im actually glad he died, because he just sucked compared to my other characters at the time. FF V: Krile because Galuf was a powerhouse compared to her, although Lenna was even stronger. FF VI: Strago. JUST SUCKED. FF VII: Yuffie, hated wutai sidequest. FF VIII: Edea, i dont even know why she was in the game. FF IX: Baku was annoying. FF X: Wakka, he was more of a drunk mexican than a stoned canadian IMO. FF XII: Balthier, sure he had some good lines but he was weak as fruck. FFT: Algus he was such a fruitcake. FFTA: I hated those three people who always talked after you defeated a totema when you entered a town. I just wanted to continue on in story as fast as i could. |
