The game isn't really too hard in the WoR if you don't do a lot of leveling up, but it IS helpful.  The only reason I ever fought in the forest was really for the economizers...the level ups happened to be a bonus.  For Magic XP I NEVER fight anywhere else but the second to top floor of the Fantatics Tower...sure you don't level up, but you learn spells ULTRA quick!

Wait... What's the Dino Forest and where's it located? I don't think I've found it before.

The dinosaur forest is north of the Veldt in the WoR. It's shaped vaguely like a dinosaur or lizard head, with the mouth facing East. If you walk into it and run into a Tyrannosaur or Brachosaur, you're there.

honestly i've never used the dino forest and i never have had any trouble beating the game.

My first couple times I used the Dino Forest, but since then, I haven't gone anywhere near it except to test myself vs. a Brachosaur.  If my party can cut the thing down, time for Kefka's Tower.
