final cave

once you've entered the final cave, and got the MegaAll materia, can you go back? i went the whole way back to the top, but i can't reach the airship because of the stream , which drags you back in the cave.
is there any other way to return to the worldmap? Greetings |

Yes and it's easy.

Just DO NOT use the save crystal in the room where the party splits up. Other than that, just do what sweetdude said.
