It's an obvious answer, but probably the final Sephiroth battle in the lifestream. I usually just let him attack me and then do the Counter-Attack finish.
There are a lot of enemies I enjoy fighting. Gogo is quite interesting. Also I've always liked the Demon Wall, even when it has been crushing my team members like spiders. The Turks are always good for turning up just when the game needs them to. I like them even more for the items you can steal from them. -------------------- Scepticism, that dry rot of the intellect, had not left one entire idea in his mind. Me on the Starcraft. |

I've always liked the house that attacks you in sector 6 near the beginning of the game.
Some of my other favourites are the magic pot and that weird head in a blue container that attacks you in the Shinra building. -------------------- FF games completed: I (psp), II (psp), III (DS), IV (psp), V (GBA), VI (GBA), VII, VIII, IX, X, XI: Nations-Rhapsodies of Vana'diel, XII, XIII, XIV, XV. Spin-offs: FFIV: Interlude & The After Years, Crisis Core: FFVII, X-2, XIII-2, Lightning Returns, Type-0 HD, Dissidia, Dissidia 012, and Tactics (original & WotL). Enjoyed them all. |

No, as I re-call it's a random encounter that looks like a floating blue barrel.

I like the guy in the basement of the old mansion who gets happy and sad... His name escapes me. He killed me the first time I fought him. He caught me off guard.

Also in the Shinra Mansion, I like the guy on the chain who sometimes drops off and the pumpkin face thingies. Oh, and the mirrors. Shira Mansion has some cool enemies hehe. |

He caught me off guard. Haha, I absolutely HATE that fight. It always takes like five minutes to complete, because every move they have takes forever to activate. Clever but extremely frustrating. That whole mansion was really well-done and creepy, though - I think my favorite enemy might be in there, with the guy swinging on the giant pendulum-sickle. -------------------- Hey, put the cellphone down for a while In the night there is something wild Can you hear it breathing? Normal enemies: The Mirages in the Nibel Mansion. Flower Prong in Gongaga. Bagrisk in Cosmo Canyon. Cactuar in Corel Prison. Killbins in the Northern Crater (disc two). Beachplugs (they have the Big Guard Enemy Skill). Movers in the Northern Crater.
Bosses: Diamond Weapon, Schizo, Materia Keeper, the Turks in Midgar and Ultimate Weapon. This post has been edited by edgemty on 4th August 2009 22:00 -------------------- Yep, I'm here. |

I have faced Materia Keeper at level 22 before... and the Turks at Level 40... the only way I can make it even lower is to escape all random battles... but that means no AP... which sucks... I'd really like to know a way to get as much AP as possible while getting little EXP... the best way would be to fight countless Goblins... (the ones who carry the Zeio Nut)... but alas, they just give 20 AP each... Besides, how low can your levels be during the latter fights... one thing on FF7 is that bosses also give EXP... I've beaten the game with all my characters at level 28 before that's what I mean. And by fighting movers in the northern crater you can get AP and gil without getting exp. They are just good to getting some Gil on the early stages of the game. -------------------- Yep, I'm here. |

My favorite enemy encounter is probably the movers. They make my acquisition of master materias much easier.
As for boss battles, I'd probably say Ruby WEAPON. |

I love the MP's. I just love how their machine guns did less damage then their melee attacks

I always loved the look of the giant Sand Worms you can fight in the prison desert, the ones that cast earthquake on the party, beyond the cool look and the crazy camera angles at times when fighting them I had some great battles with them too...they're a nice homage to Frank Herbert's sci-fi classic DUNE.
Also it was a real pleasure to meet the Snow Witch for the first time, I could never find her and searched high and low across the Great Glacier looking for her so I could finally see what the only Holy materia in the game did for me. Destroying her was a real treat when I finally did manage to find her. |
